AudreyMyers 11.15.22	Going to watch it tonight. What did you think of the movie?
Gameofmetal 11.15.22	Bit of a mixed bag, the trailer gives a way a lot of the scares, but it's anchored by a good central performance and there's a very scary section near the end that was unspoiled and very effective for me. The way it concludes is meh.
Coast 11.15.22	There was some generic acting/directing but I was genuinely creeped out by the looming 'smiles' and in the cinema the abundant jump scares ranged from unnerving to irritating. Lead character was good 7/10
Thalassic 11.15.22	Rather generic in terms of story and directing and extremely reliant on jump scares (to be honest, I can't think of another movie that has so many jump scares or scenes fishing for a jump scare)...BUT it's basically the only horror flick of 2022 that has a genuinely unnerving tone throughout. The sound design as well is superb and for a big studio horror movie it actually has an atmosphere that oozes dread. It's a derivative flick, but for what it's worth it's a pretty effective scarefest. So if you don't really demand originality in your horror, you're in for a fun creepy ride.
