01.16.26 | Tell me about it! |
jrlikestodance
01.16.26 | Love to see 39 and 53, bangers. 15 and 54 transcend music |
cylinder
01.16.26 | lots of classics on here, nice. 10, 15, and 23 are among my faves as well. and props for 92 |
mkmusic1995
01.16.26 | Thanks fellas! This was by far one of the most difficult lists to do because there's so much amazing music out there. I feel guilty not including so many songs lol |
JoyfulPlatypus
01.16.26 | Awesome list. I did something similar to this back when I was in high school but it feels so daunting to imagine doing it now.
57 and 14 both would likely be in my own top songs as well. |
RVAHC13
01.16.26 | great list, i can't stand 45 though |
mkmusic1995
01.16.26 | 45 is one of those legacy songs that I've been listening to since I was very young and it just makes me smile. It's corny, it's silly but I'll always love it. |

01.16.26 | 45 rules |

01.16.26 | Can’t help it, I worked in grocery stores and classic oldies radio for a while. TOTO has better songs like 99 and Georgy Porgy |
Josh D.
01.16.26 | "Rosanna" probably the best
I worked retail in my younger days, so I definitely understand the in-store radio changing feelings towards songs angle. Like going through a break-up and sitting in a quiet Walgreens at night and Chicago's "You're The Inspiration" comes on again. |
RVAHC13
01.16.26 | Anyone who’s worked grocery retail has an understandable loathing of Phil Collins, Hall & Oats, Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart and Whitney Houston.
I will say though I never got tired of Howard Jones |
Hawks
01.16.26 | Epic list. |
Emim
01.16.26 | Can't hear Desperado without thinking of Seinfeld |

01.16.26 | Hold the Line is an all time great song though, it and Separate Ways by Journey go harder than they should |
0GuyMan0
01.16.26 | Plenty of killer tracks on this list. Props. Been thinking about putting mine up for years, but its a lot of work lol. I've always struggled with ranking the classic rock songs with anything more modern. They're just core. Timeless.
My top five are, and have been for some time:
1. Genesis - That's All
2. Journey - Who's Cryin' Now
3. Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
4. Billy Squier - My Kinda Lover
5. The Doors - Riders on the Storm
|
mkmusic1995
01.16.26 | I love all the Hold the Line defenders, you are my people!
@0GuyMan0 that Billy Squier tune is so underrated and both Riders on the Storm and The Chain were on my shortlist as well. It's hard to deny the classics! |
Josh D.
01.16.26 | Billy Squier has some stone cold jams. |
RVAHC13
01.16.26 | Don’t know if I could give a definitive top 5 but Waterloo Sunset would definitely be up there somewhere |
mkmusic1995
01.16.26 | One of my favorites from The Kinks along with Sunny Afternoon which was also in contention for me lol |
RVAHC13
01.16.26 | Kinks have so many great songs, I’d throw Big Sky, Village Green, Victoria and Shangri La up there too. Ray is a genius lyricist, better than any of the Beatles imo |
Josh D.
01.16.26 | Need something from The Zombies debut. |
mkmusic1995
01.16.26 | I mean if I was gonna pick a Zombies tune, it has to be Time of the Season. That song is bliss |
RadioSuicide
01.16.26 | big fan of the hits aren’t ya |
mkmusic1995
01.16.26 | I enjoy a good tune |
Titan
01.16.26 | Loved it when I saw 1, song is amazing in every way. The Pass is also an amazing song and one of Geddy’s favorites. |
RVAHC13
01.16.26 | The Pass is one of my favorite Rush songs |
Titan
01.16.26 | So good. They are 100% playing it on their upcoming tour. |
Demon of the Fall
01.17.26 | damn these are some quirky Cave picks (Tupelo is v cool tho)
Intriguing 🤔 |
Demon of the Fall
01.17.26 | and Bjork’s pick!
good to see her, Sade & Nina all featuring high up mind (I’ll just forget Lana is there 😄) |

01.18.26 | Heaps of interesting picks... but some really surprising song choices from great artists. |
