A List Regarding the Objectivity Rating
1Metallica
St. Anger

does it even really matter?
2Ministry
AmeriKKKant

like, have I been doing this wrong the whole time? am I *supposed* to go out and give low ratings to things I've never listened to in full and *will* never listen to in full just because I Know They're Bad to balance it out?
3Limp Bizkit
Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water

I think about this a lot, absolutely more than I should, but it still really bothers me. am I too positive? ever since I started keeping track of all the albums I listen to I don't think I've given a single one anything lower than a 3.5. and then there's albums I *do* have a soft spot for but give lower ratings than I otherwise would because anything else would just seem undeserved (see: most Limp Bizkit releases. aside from Significant Other. I genuinely think that's a 4.5.)
4The Arrogant Sons of Bitches
Three Cheers For Disappointment

see, here's the thing I don't get about the objectivity rating: why would I go out of my way to listen to and rate stuff I *know* I'm not gonna like? I think the reason I give all the stuff I listen to relatively high ratings is because I only seek out things I know either A.) are good...
5From Safety to Where
Irreversible Trend

...or B.) strongly appeal to me specifically.
6A Wilhelm Scream
Benefits of Thinking Out Loud

sorry if this comes off as aimless rambling, it's just something that's been bothering me ever since I started using sput. hopefully this all makes sense.
7 Skrewdriver
Skrewdriver

in conclusion, maybe I *should* go and drop a 1 on all those Skrewdriver albums.
