10.22.20 | Hell yeah, nothingface slaps and deserve more love. two other great nu-metal albums I would put in the 20 best cannon personally is Dir En Grey's "Vulgar", Dazzle Vision's "Camilia Japonica" and Gazette's "DIM" (oh and any Maximum the haramone if they count)

I don't think I'll ever get over them just making that one record, it's so disappointing they never done anything else.

To me, Change isn't a nu metal song and White Pony isn't a nu metal album. The band even say as much. In fact, the only song that is nu metal (Back to School) was a bonus track added retroactively to appease the record label who wanted something more nu metal for the charts. And Chino famously busted it out in like 3 hours or something to prove how insipid and easy to write most of that stuff is. Ironically, the song performed really well from what I remember.
Anyway, yeah, TL;DR Change is a great song, but it's not nu metal. Prob Freak on a Leash is the "defining" nu-metal song. That, or-- as much as I loathe everything about them-- Nookie by Limp Bizkit. |
