Metal Hills I'll die on
1Metallica
Hardwired... to Self-Destruct

This was a desperate, overblown and disappointing release. St Anger, Load, and Re-load are all much more enjoyable.
2Megadeth
Youthanasia

Megadeth are much more consistent and have released many better albums than Metallica have. The highs just aren't as high.
3Black Sabbath
Paranoid

This is a stone cold classic, but Planet Caravan is horribly placed and Paranoid would have been all the better without it.
4Black Sabbath
Never Say Die!

This album belongs in the classic Sabbath run and needs revisiting.
5Paysage d'Hiver
Im Wald

This is not that great, and does not justify IT'S NEARLY 2 HOUR LONG RUNTIME.
6Lorna Shore
...And I Return To Nothingness

This is overproduced tik-tokcore
7Deafheaven
Sunbather

This isn't Black Metal. I'm not saying it's not good music, or Black Metal Inspired, but it itself is absolutely not Black Metal.
8Slipknot
Iowa

A lot of Nu Metal was excellent and massively continues to influence artists of today.
9Black Veil Brides
The Phantom Tomorrow

There are no modern "rock stars" or characters that are larger than life with cross-over appeal from the 2010's onwards because the online behaviour of a large portion of the metal community would rather slander than support the fringe acts that are pushing numbers and drawing in outsiders.
10ghost
Infestissumam

As above.
11Cradle of Filth
Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa

The sexism - for example I see a slander of "That band is for girls / women" a lot, what the fuck? It's 2022, honest god forbid that women should enjoy heavy music.
12Motley Crue
Theatre of Pain

Glam Metal was great, though not a massive influence remains.
