10.16.08 | My view of avant garde music is that it can be any type of music, but its pushing the boundries of the norm. Like alot of improv and no real structure in songs. I could see some of that in 9 but not entierly. Free jazz is were its at. |

Avant Garde isn't like a fixed genre. It's about having elements that are unique and push the boundaries. The ten listed here are rather unique albums imo. Especially Extra Life, Estradasphere and Secret Chiefs 3.
