10.15.08 | It's hit and miss with him really. I mean, he's a fucking genius. He completely reinvented the avant-garde scene, but some of his music is just too out there for my taste. I'm talking about his "Moonchild" project with Mike Patton. It's noise, imo. but then you get classic albums like Naked City's debut and The Dreamers, which is generally very listenable.
His work as a composer is mind blowing, tbh. Check out his Book of Angels compositions. It's like traditional jewish music with odd avant-garde influences. Bar Kokhba's Lucifer being the best. (yes, he composes the music, they play it) |
