MementoMori's Favourite Death Metal - Top 10
Since I have been listening to a lot of death metal these past few days, from an expansive listening list part of which I outlined in a list I made for this site two days ago, I thought I would assemble this provisional top ten (plus five honourable mentions) of my, theretofore, favourite death metal bands (one album per band, in rough order of preference). I have made this list, also, so it can function a point of comparison for after I have gone through my current playlist in full.
Note: I have a massive bias towards the more strange, progressive, technical, and 'dissonant', sides of the genre (so you are unlikely to find a lot of more straightforward old school death metal on this list). |
