07.22.20 | Pretty accurate. Nice work. I like habitual levitations more than most it seems. Was my intro to the band so perhaps that biases me. |
MementoMori
07.22.20 | @Dedex: I do be agreeing with you agreeing.
@Relinquished: if only that record's production was any good.
@engleprunt: Speaking of poorly produced records. I suppose if you enjoy the rawness of their earliest work.
@Inoculaeted: I somewhat dislike the production, but it's still a great record. Directions was my first record, so I'm equally biased. |
Relinquished
07.22.20 | I wouldn’t say the production is bad, sure a bit less pronounced than Valley but the songs are better written imo. and fair to think it’s lesser if your intro was Direction |
MementoMori
07.22.20 | @Relinquished: That might just be it. I can remember thinking some of Valley's track weren't up to par in comparison to the rest of the material. Might have to relisten to that record again. |
PistolPete
07.22.20 | Great band, I like all these albums so it pains me to see 4-5 so low but I guess some of them have to be the bottom.
Their stuff before Prehistoricisms is average af though I could never get into it. |
PistolPete
07.22.20 | I have seen this band live probably more than any other band and I can say they absolutely kill it each time. I also like that they'll come out into the crowd after and watch the later acts on stage and just have a beer/chill. Super down to earth group of guys. |
Flashmobba
07.22.20 | 3 is 1 all da time |

07.22.20 | I've only ever checked Valley, but I absolutely love it. Are any of their other records similar? |

07.22.20 | how is Void average pete lol |
MementoMori
07.22.20 | @PistolPete: never much of a fan of their earlier material either. Your comments on their live performances only affirmed my suspicions.
@Flashmobba: Correction: some of the time. Great name btw.
@Relinquished: Slightly above average generally, but comparatively, certainly average. |
Flashmobba
07.23.20 | yoooo thanks man made it when I was 15 and highly regret it
anyway I agree wit void not being on here though fluid can be kinda awkward, especially vocally. Prehistoricisms is just plain overrated imo, though #2 is indeed #2
Valley is just perfect post-metal all the way, such a legendary record |
MementoMori
07.23.20 | @Flashmobba: It might be overrated, but great records usually are. But them bass lines alone are absolutely insane. I suppose I'm just biased towards it, though Valley is absolutely sick too. |
Inoculaeted
07.23.20 | I really do enjoy the new one but it feels to me like they didn't expand sonically as much as they had been doing on prior releases. Songs are all bangers though, so it's a nitpick. |
MementoMori
07.23.20 | @Inoculaeted: Alex Rudinger absolutely kills it on that record I think, although I can understand the criticism regarding his (perhaps) mechanical, tech-focussed style. |
trilo
07.23.20 | would do 1 > 3 > 4 > 2 > void personally but good rankin' |
Ziggity
07.23.20 | Just had Core relations come up on my shuffle as I clicked on this list lol. Caught these guys live once and they were super chill and put on a good show. Valley of smoke or prehistoricisms would be my #1. |
Inoculaeted
07.24.20 | I’ll give the drums special attention next time. |
