ReturnToRock 06.02.22	I disagree with a lot of your picks and comments, but respectable list regardless. Creeping, Sandman and Metal Militia are Top 3 for me. Phantom Lord would not make Top 20. I was also going to say Fade > Sanitarium, but just realised that is actually inaccurate.

And while I can't quite come up with a top 15 myself (they have too many great songs, it's hard!), I'll go ahead and pick three songs from their first five albums: Kill 'Em All (my least favorite album out of their first five, but still pretty good): "Hit the Lights" "Jump in the Fire" "Phantom Lord" Ride the Lightning (my second favorite Metallica album): "Ride the Lightning" "For Whom the Bell Tolls" "Fade to Black" (as mentioned before, my favorite song of theirs) Master of Puppets (my favorite Metallica album overall): "Battery" "The Thing That Should Not Be" "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" ...And Justice for All (not as flat-out brilliant as the previous two, but I still love it): "Blackened" "...And Justice for All" "One" The Black Album (a little front-loaded, but an important album in the development of metal as a more contemporary genre, and the high points unquestionably stand among Metallica's best work): "Enter Sandman" "The Unforgiven" "Nothing Else Matters" Honorable mentions go out to "Hero of the Day" and "Low Man's Lyric" from Load and Reload, great songs that took a bat to the idea of what a thrash band was supposed to sound like, and continue to show me why I always preferred Metallica to their '80s thrash contemporaries.

JKing92 06.02.22	I don't hate Reload, honestly. Not terrific by any means, but I think songs like "Where the Wild Things Are" and "Low Man's Lyric" are pretty neat tunes, and even if there aren't many other songs that stand out on their own, the album doesn't sound terrible while it's playing.
