I didn't put too much thought into the order of the ranking. I love em all. Only 2 songs per artist to keep it more interesting. Didn't include Jazz. That's for another list.
Nice to see "Here Comes the Sun" here (even though I would probably include "A Day in the Life" and "Strawberry Fields" over all of the Beatles picks here).
I would also add Hendrix's "Are You Experienced" to this list, personally.
some band song choices I guess Reefa. Like the Zep choice, the chicago song, first simon and garfunkel song, zappa choice, cream choice, love choice, the beatles choices, the stones choices, doors choice, tommy james choice, the VU choice, who choice. byrds,, choice and others
but it is your list, so maybe title it my fave 60's songs instead of best songs
You know that there's no objective truth as to which is the best song from any of those bands right? Me changing the title doesn't make this list any more subjective than it already is. I don't know why some people need it to be spelled out for them lol.
"Where is Procol Harum "A Whiter Shade of Pale"!!"
After hearing the 2006 live version the studio version always feels underwhelming to me. It's still an ok song but doesn't really do it for me.
I didn't see this list before and it's nice, we have a lot of similar favs. Mine are Here Comes the Sun, Epitaph by King Crimson, Wouldn’t it Be Nice, A Day in the Life, Blackbird, 21st Century Schizoid Man, In My Life by The Beatles, Gimme Shelter, Ramble On, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Alone Again Or, Something by The Beatles, Today by Jefferson Airplane, Strawberry Fields Forever, Sunday Morning, Red Telephone by Love, Suzanne by Leonard Cohen, Sound of Silence, Foxy Lady, Time of the Season, Like a Rolling Stone, River Man by Nick Drake, Care of Cell 44 by The Zombies, White Rabbit, God Only Knows, Getting Better, Communication Breakdown, Venus in Furs, Beechwood Park, Penny Lane, Sympathy for the Devil, The Boxer by Simon & Garfunkel, Light My Fire, Somebody to Love, Hey Jude, America by Simon & Garfunkel, Purple Haze, I Talk to the Wind, Peaches in Regalia, and Paint it Black. Crazy how amazing the years 1965-69 were for music.
Haha that's just a lot of what I grew up with and have emotional attachment to. Big psychedelic rock and folk fan. There are two Jimi Hendrix songs, and Ain't No Way would be on my list too if I added like 10 more entries.
