| Best Hard Rock/Metal albums of 1970
Not a lot of release as HR and especially Metal are just baby genres but, they are some stuff to mention. | 1 | | Black Sabbath Paranoid
Not the album that invented that Metal but the one that gave its first classics. It aged and sounds very 70s but any metal fan should have this album. | 2 | | Deep Purple Deep Purple In Rock
After three boring records, Purple finds its sound. Distorsion, virtuosity, energy, a real rock fest. | 3 | | Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III
A major part of this album is accoustic but the rocking songs are definitely bombastic. Another gem from the Zep. | 4 | | Black Sabbath Black Sabbath
The album that almost invented Metal all by itself. Recorded fast, it does have some so-so moments but most of it is quite impressive. | 5 | | The Stooges Fun House
Not completely a Metal or a Hard Rock record but this did influence future bands like Guns N'Roses or Metallica quite a lot. | |
