| My Favorite Albums
My most enjoyable albums to listen to. Mostly pop/rock and indie oriented since these are two of my favorite genres. I also need some recommendations on some older music because I rarely listen to it. If you have some feel free to drop'em at the comment section. | 1 | | Arcade Fire The Suburbs
Grammy-winning Masterpiece. Everything in this album is beyond amazing, EVERYTHING! | 2 | | Taylor Swift Speak Now
14 tracks of pure perfection. IMO until this very day Tay Tay wasn't able to top this great work of art. But 1989 came close to it. | 3 | | Nick Jonas and the Administration Who I Am
Nick shouln't have gone to pop, it was a waste of talent. This album songs and Mr. Jonas high notes are great to say the least. | 4 | | Ed Sheeran +
Poetry spoke to me! Fantastic and meaningful lyrics, E. Sheeran made an achievement of an album. | 5 | | She and Him Volume Two
Nice and cool just like Zooey. | 6 | | Joss Stone Mind Body & Soul
Mind, Body and SOUL. A nice pun that Joscelyn made. And I must say that she poured everything she had into this magnum opus of her. Nice lyrics and a wonderful vocal prowess. This album lack nothing! | 7 | | Adele 25
21 2.0. Adele's ability to create masterpiece albums never fail to amaze me. Recommender tracks: River Lea and Water Under The Bridge. | 8 | | Hunter Hayes Hunter Hayes
The Grammy-nominated Hunter Hayes had an amazing debut as artist with an album full of refreshing songs with meaningful lyrics and a nice sounding to them. | 9 | | Sam Smith In the Lonely Hour
Soulful and passionate songs are the main charm of this album. Smith's voice is one of my favorites of all time and a pleasure to listen to. | 10 | | Charlie Puth Voicenotes
His first LP was rather off-puting since some of his lyrics were too masochist for my tastes. From dependent lyrics such
as "I'm just a sucker for a cold-hearted lover" to more upfront and autonomous ones such as "What have you done for me?" Voicenotes is an improvement to its predecessor. | 11 | | Rihanna Loud
Honorable Mention. The Kama Sutra of pop. The album was even compared to MJ's Thriller and it surelly deserved such acclaim. Suggestive and cativating lyrics and, personally, to me it deseved the Grammy of AOTY instead of Adele's 21. | 12 | | Britney Spears Blackout
Honorable Mention. Britney's darkest album yet. High production value. Heaven of Earth, Piece of Me and Radar stood out to me as Mrs. Spears 'bestest' tracks to date. I doubt she'll ever top them. | 13 | | Katy Perry Teenage Dream
Honorable Mention. A glorious pop album with a nice production and some of the most iconic pop songs of all time. 5 Hot 100 #1s that are definitely not underserved. E.T.'s lyrics are phenomenal and there wasn't a single track that I disliked. | |

08.01.18 | Seems like you don't tend to stray too far--if at all-- from conventional radio music (which isn't necessarily a bad thing since you seem to really enjoy that). If you're looking to expand your musical horizon, though, I would recommend artists who fall into those pop/rock indie genres you enjoy, but add their own unique twist to it. I want to ease you into it, so my recs are pretty conservative. I think you should check out:
1) Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel... (really catchy piano rock in the vein of Adele but with more introspective, biting lyrics, a wider sonic palate including loops, found sounds, and some more unique instruments, as well as utilizing more complex chords and melodies)
2) Mutual Benefit - Love's Crushing Diamond (great folk/pop record with chamber music influences... think Sufjan Stevens if he read nothing but Thoreau's "Walden" and Hesse)
3) Paul & Linda McCartney - Ram (yes it's THAT Paul McCartney... he and his wife made a record in 71 right after the Beatles disbanded on their Scotland farm. It covers a very wide range of genres and styles, which makes it a fun, varied listen, without sacrificing any of the pop genius and lyrical sensibility Paul is known for. This is coming right off the heels of the Let it Be and Abbey Road sessions, so he's in peak form. Could help get ease you into some other music)
I think these three are good starts. I'd love to hear what you think of any of them. Hope it helps | sixdegrees

08.02.18 | If you like Pop/Rock and want some older music maybe try some music from the 80's/90's? There's tonnes of great tracks from that period.
Try Tears For Fears, A-Ha, Depeche Mode, Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Toto, A Touch Of Class, TLC.
There's so many great artists/songs from the 80s and 90s lol. | swipenet
08.02.18 | nice | rmcrae
08.30.18 | I love Joss Stone and "Mind, Body & Soul". Have you checked out her other stuff? "Introducing Joss Stone" and "Water for Your Soul" are great too. | rodrigo90
08.30.18 | I hate to say this but katy perry's peacock is very catchy, awful lyrics though. | rxthebandit
