Albums that should be considered classics on here

When i say classic i dont mean good or underrated, but an album that has held the test of time and has had a significant influence or importance for a given genre. All these albums/artists to some degree deserve the same love as something like radiohead on this site. imo ofc
1The Dubliners
More of the Hard Stuff

The dubliners were a important band in the folk revival era of the 60's, more specifically ireland. Their entire discography is gold, but this album in particular manages from front to back to entertain to no end, with tons of humor and bangers in the mix. Their influence can be seen in much irish folk after their debut, as well as some influence in american folk to a smaller degree. The Pogues have also stated this band as a huge influence on their folk punk sound, while the two bands played a live version of the irish rover together.(find it on youtube, great show :) )
2John Fahey
Death Chants, Breakdowns and Military Waltzes

John fahey singlehandedly created the genre of american primitive guitar, which is a feat not many can claim. Though he was not without strong influence from others, particularly american folk music and country blues. I would say an artist that very directly takes influence from this kind of guitar pplaying is six organs of admittence on for octavio pas, where the same kind of droning bass lines accompany bluesy pentatonic licks.
3Lemon Demon
Dinosaurchestra

Hold your horses now, while this album might not be musically sophisticated like other albums that are considered classics, it is exactly that nature which makes it a classic. This album, as well as neil ciceregas other work, laid much of the groundwork for modern memes. He was one of the first and most popular to make the kind of youthful jokes and skits that would become immensly popular on sites like newgrounds. As for artist he has influenced, then you can just look at the entirety of the internet, as it's all memes nowadays.
4Meshuggah
Nothing

While this band is by no means unknown at all, it still stands underappreciated for it's influence on the modern metal scene. Not just in terms of djent and proggresive metal, but also metalcore, deathcore and to some degree the new resurgance of nu metal.
5Gore
Mean Man's Dream

While this band might not have had the biggest influence on sludge/noise metal, i still feel their early inovation of that sound should be praised more, as they were about as early as the melvins. Musically i can see why some might find them lacking, as the sound was very rough around the edges at this time, but that even more than not, cements them as an important player in the evolution of the genre. imo ofc, so keep it civil :)
