2000
1Iron Maiden
Brave New World

Now this is a comeback. The beast is back, now with an all-star line up and an unforgettable reunion album.
This is the last album to be mostly centered around folktales and legends, the unnatural and the occult, which gives the album an aura of mysterious magical eeriness, but it's mixed to perfection with and ever-present feeling of tranquil peace of mind. It's like the guitars themselves are saying "it's so good to be back" with a happy, tired smile on their face. Fantastic.
2Children of Bodom
Follow the Reaper

It's pretty weird, this one. None of the songs here aren't too memorable or notable, but I love it. It's a super fun ride, and it's just a fantastic representation of CoB and what they do. It's just a joy every time, and that's a better compliment I can give, more than any constructive criticism.
3Rhapsody of Fire
Dawn of Victory
4Kalmah
Swamplord

They remind me of Children of Bodom, and the year 2000 was a great year for both bands. This is probably my favorite album by them.
5Racer X
Superheroes

This album is just pure fun. It pays homage to so many of the classic and beloved artists of the past in its own unique and charming way. The title song is an amazing Judas Priest rip-off (in the good sense of the word) and legit sounds like a long lost song from the Screaming for Vengence era. Nothing here is groundbreaking, but it's just fun and instantly puts a smile on my face.
6Pantera
Reinventing the Steel

Not their best one, but a respectable album with quite a few very cool songs.
7Nevermore
Dead Heart In A Dead World

This band is weird. On the paper they've got everything to win me over: the riffs, the melodies, the atmosphere, the production, everything's good. But something just doesn't click for me - I'm not a fan of Dane's vocals, but it can't be just that. It's a good album I guess, and I love some of the songs here, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the others.
8Demons and Wizards
Demons & Wizards

Pretty good. The presence of both Schaffer and Kürsch is very much felt.
9Geddy Lee
My Favourite Headache

Haha, my recation is pretty much the same as Alex Lifeson's solo album. This feels like 1/3 of Rush. It has some good parts but it's a bit forgettable in the end.
