| Blondie Albums Ranked
I usually do these lists as a "My Favorite 10 Albums", but since Blondie actually has exactly 10 albums, I figured it was better to word the list title this way. Unbeknownst to many, Blondie is still making music, and more often than not, it's pretty good. They're scheduled to have a new one out in 2017, and I'll be looking forward to it. | 10 | | Blondie The Curse of Blondie
This album was a misfire after 1999's excellent "No Exit", and it derailed them for another 8 years until "Panic of Girls". | 9 | | Blondie The Hunter
Not as much of a disaster as some make it out to be, it does have "Island of Lost Souls" and "Driveway" (and any song about the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway" is OK with me. Well not really, but this is a pretty good one). | 8 | | Blondie Autoamerican
Some decent stuff on here (like "The Tide Is High"), but I was never a big "Rapture" guy. | 7 | | Blondie Eat to the Beat
A mixed bag of some good stuff ("Dreaming", "Union City Blue" and "Die Young, Stay Pretty") and some mediocre ("The Hardest Part" and "Shayla"). | 6 | | Blondie Blondie
Raw, but there are a lot of fun songs on their debut album, like "The Attack of the Giant Ants" and "Rip Her to Shreds". | 5 | | Blondie Panic of Girls
A good comeback after "The Curse of Blondie", this one is rated way too low on Sputnik. | 4 | | Blondie No Exit
This was their big comeback album after a 17-year hiatus, including songs in a variety of genres. "Under the Gun" is one of their best songs ever. | 3 | | Blondie Plastic Letters
They were poised for greatness with this one, that included their singles "Denis" and "(I'm Always Touched by Your) Presence Dear" and other winners like "Contact in Red Square" and "I Didn't Have the Nerve to Say No." | 2 | | Blondie Ghosts of Download
Most people had jumped off of the Blondie train by this one, which is unfortunate. This was my favorite album of 2014. I particularly like "A Rose by Any Name" which is sung by both Deborah Harry and Beth Ditto of Gossip. | 1 | | Blondie Parallel Lines
A perfect album, actually the single "Heart of Glass" is probably my least favorite song here. There were six singles from this album, including "Sunday Girl", "Hanging on the Telephone" and "One Way or Another", and some of my favorites weren't released as singles like "11:59" and "Will Anything Happen". | |

12.10.16 | You're like Sputnik's new wave enthusiast :P | Divaman
12.10.16 | True. It's a lonely life, but I live in hope. :P | ShadowRemains
12.10.16 | debbie harry man | SandwichBubble
12.10.16 | Is 2 really that good? Stopped listening after No Exit put me off. Actually, you have No Exit at #4, so now I'm not so sure! | Jethro42
12.10.16 | 10 albums really? I think I only know Heart of Glass by them. | TwigTW
12.10.16 | Eat To The Beat at 7? That's a 5 for me, and #1 Blondie... I once saw Blondie booed off the stage--such a sad night. | Divaman
12.11.16 | That's OK, I once accidentally got flashed by Deborah Harry. She was on a revolving stage, and I was in the second row. She was wearing a fairly short skirt, and when the stage had rotated so her back was to me, she bent over. There were amps and stuff behind her, but there were also gaps between them. And although it happened very quickly, I'd swear she wasn't wearing underwear. (The stage wasn't elevated, the building is set up so the seats all look down at the stage). | Divaman
12.11.16 | Sandwich, if you didn't like "No Exit" then I doubt it. Did you like their earlier work?
Yeah, Jethro. They took a 17 year hiatus at one point, but they started up again. Their later stuff (after "No Exit") hasn't gotten them any airplay that I'm aware of, though. | TwigTW
12.11.16 | ha, ha--that's a good one. | zakalwe
12.11.16 | Who the hell boos blondie off stage? | TwigTW
12.11.16 | An Iggy Pop audience does Zak, they were not interested in a girl in a garbage bag dress--even if that girl was Debbie Harry. | zakalwe
12.11.16 | I'd have wolf whistled | SandwichBubble
12.11.16 | @Divaman yeah their early stuff is more my thing | Divaman
12.11.16 | Well, glad you at least enjoy the older stuff, Sandwich. Blondie isn't in my top 5 or 6 favorite bands, but they're definitely in my Top 20. | Divaman
12.11.16 | Yeah, I don't know zak. She was close enough to step off the stage and slap me. :P | Jeffrulesyou
12.11.16 | Excellent list, Parallel Lines is my favorite as well. Didn't know there were Blondie fans on here. A little surprised at the second pick, but I'll have to check it out. It's been awhile since I've followed up on them. Last record I heard was No Exit. |
