It doesn't age as badly as half of the glam metal, post grunge, nu metal, metalcore, AOR, mainstream indie rock and other rock trends that were or are popular as hell

Well it depends of the band, maybe that happens with groups like within temptation, leaves eyes or sirenia. But most of the stuff of nightwish, epica, therion, the gathering, haggard, theater of tragedy, Versailles, after forever and more have the same effect than the first time that you listen to it.

Well, every album of nightwish has the same effect with the exception of their newer one which are their less solid efforts, for epica is the same with the exception of the Requiem of the Indiferent and Consign to Oblivion. Bal-Sagoth is really cool but therion is more solid and influential
