| Rec artists for music festival
So i'm going to the 2nd annual Eaux Claires festival in WI. Last year was awesome, saw Sufjan, Bon Iver, The National, The Tallest Man on Earth, and was introduced to many more awesome artists. This year's lineup doesn't have quite the same appeal to me, but I thought my fellow Sputnikers could help recommend artists from the lineup for me to look into further. Specific albums would be nice! List is artists i'm most excited for at this point. http://eauxclaires.com/lineup | 1 | | Bon Iver For Emma, Forever Ago

06.10.16 | Deafheaven and Melvins are amazing live. | Sinternet
06.10.16 | pretty good lineup by the looks of it but i'd recommend mostly:
Erykah Badu
Phosphorescent
Cornelius (especially considering he's doing Fantasma)
My Brightest Diamond
Shabazz Palaces
Sarah Neufeld
Unknown Mortal Orchestra (pretty essential)
Vince Staples
Jon Hopkins
Jenny Lewis
Melvins
rest i don't know a lot about but look decent | BullettoBinary2
06.10.16 | Thanks hesperus and Internet. I've heard of most of those but probably couldn't name a single song by them. Any particular albums to start with? | hesperus
06.10.16 | I mean, I walked into a Melvins show barely able to name a single song by them and I still enjoyed myself a lot. They're really better live anyway. | elliootsmeuth
06.15.16 | Melvins are a must see live. they're unreal. you don't even have to listen to them to enjoy yourself. i saw them only having heard one of their albums once and it was still awesome. 10x better live. |
