Ripped Off Riffs and Stolen Sounds

So here are some songs that more or less just sound alike in parts. Some of them may actually be stolen (intentional or not), but others are more likely just my brain making small connections. Format = Original Band- Original Song: Bands that Ripped it Off- Songs that Ripped it Off
1Radiohead
Pablo Honey

Radiohead- Creep: Lana Del Rey- Get Free (it's a slow list day and I've been working on this a while, but I'll just say this incident inspired it)
2Queen
Hot Space

Queen- Under Pressure: Vanilla Ice- Ice Ice Baby (another one that went to court)
3Avenged Sevenfold
Waking the Fallen

Avenged Sevenfold- Unholy Confessions: Black Veil Brides- Knives & Pens, AND In Flames- Crawl Through Knives, AND Attack Attack!- What If We Cant Check Our MySpace When We Get There [from SexualManChocolate], AND Asking Alexandria- Not The American Average [from SexualManChocolate] (riff so good many bands copied it, you go Zacky)
4Death
Scream Bloody Gore

Death- Zombie Ritual: The White Stripes- Seven Nation Army (totally intentional similarity here)
5Slayer
Reign in Blood

Slayer- Raining Blood: Immolation- Fall From A High Place (2:00 mark background riff)
6Devin Townsend
Ocean Machine: Biomech

Devin- Bastard: Alter Bridge- Wayward One (Bit of a stretch but w/e)
7At the Gates
Slaughter of the Soul

At The Gates- Blinded By Fear: Trivium- A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation (main riff is pretty stolen)
8Metallica
Metallica

Metallica- Sad But True: A7X- This Mean War (pretty close but maybe just me again)
9Tears for Fears
Songs from the Big Chair

Tears for Fears- Mad World: Seether- Words As Weapons (vocal melodies in chorus/prechorus)
10Nothing More
Save You / Save Me

Nothing More- Under The Eyes Of Selene: Periphery- Masamune (Intros sound very similar, probably coincidence)
11Derek and the Dominos
Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs

Derek and the Dominoes- Layla: Marillion- Last Straw (pretty close to the classic riff)
12The Doors
L.A. Woman

The Doors- The Changeling: Lipps inc.-Funkytown (The Doors were funky too)
13Chevelle
La Gárgola

Chevelle- Take out the Gunman: Seether- Let you down (Look at who's on the wrong end twice)
14Brand New
Deja Entendu

Brand New- Play Crack the Sky: Pierce the Veil- Bulls in the Bronx (acoustic part)
15Ben Folds
Rockin' The Suburbs

Ben Folds- Losing Lisa: Ghost- ? (They've got a hefty array of influences if they cite Echo and the Bunnymen to Mercyful Fate, but Ben Folds too? Maybe, maybe not. The Folds chorus sounds exactly like something Ghost did but maybe it's just a lot of sounds. They should cover it.)
16Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin IV

Led Zeppelin- Rock and Roll: Vampire Weekend- Diane Young (glaring on the chorus for rhythm and same note progression, but different key)
17Seether
Disclaimer

Seether- Fine Again: Green Day- Boulevard of Broken Dreams (okay this might just be me but they remind me of each other, Seether sure is on here a lot)
18Rush
Test for Echo

Rush- Test for Echo: Tool- Lateralus (Rush riff at 2:00 is stolen by Tool, the one I'm most sure was truly stolen besides lawsuit cases)
19Cheap Trick
One on One

Cheap Trick- She's Tight: Poison- Talk Dirty to Me (okay this one is obvious)
20Don McLean
American Pie

Don McLean- Vincent: Casualties of Cool- Aquarius (acoustic guitar matches vocal melody from Vincent exactly, Devin is pretty open about his influences and never mentioned this so I'm betting it was a subconscious ripoff)
21The Crickets
The "Chirping" Crickets

The Crickets- I Fought the Law and the Law Won: The Clash- The Card Cheat (they also covered this song so I guess they really liked it)
22Spirit
Spirit

Spirit- Taurus: Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven
DarkZeroSin
23Excel
The Joke's on You

Excel- Tapping into the Emotional Void: Metallica- Enter Sandman
RippingCorpse1986
24Joe Satriani
Surfing With The Alien

Joe Satriani- Just Look Up: Coldplay- Viva La Vida
DinosaurJones
25Danzig
Danzig II: Lucifuge

Danzig- Snakes of Christ: STP- Sex Type Thing
DominionMM1
26Camel
Camel

Camel- Never Let Go: Opeth- Benighted
DominionMM1
27Kraftwerk
Computer World

Kraftwerk- Computer Love: Coldplay- Talk (stolen with permission)
Boney
28Alkaline Trio
Maybe I'll Catch Fire

Alkaline Trio- You've Got So Far To Go: Box Car Racer- Cat Like Thief
onionbubs
29Electric Light Orchestra
Out of the Blue

ELO- Telephone Line: Green Day- 21 Guns
MrSirLordGentleman
30Death
The Sound of Perseverance

Death- Spririt Crusher: A7X- Unholy Confessions (I have no idea how y'all think these sound alike. Like no notes or rhythms are the same anywhere but w/e)
Several People
31Slapp Happy
Slapp Happy

Slapp Happy- The Drum: Spacehog- In the Meantime
32The Damned
Strawberries

The Damned- Life Goes On: Killing Joke- Eighties AND Garden of Delight- 22 Faces AND Nirvana- Come As You Are (can't believe nobody knew this famous example)
