06.03.15 | lots of good stuff on PS4, things not mentioned here: Valiant Hearts, Oddworld: New N Tasty, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, ACIV: Black Flag, Far Cry 4, lots of PS3 re-releases as well, GTA V, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, etc.
A lot of these aren't super amazing best games ever or anything but they're all fun and worth a play. |
Mort.
06.03.15 | Wolfenstein is decent imo aswell
Tomb raider game is fun but the puzzles are stupid easy andnthe tombs tend to consist of one puzzle |

MO
06.03.15 | "Hitman is announced?"
it hasn't been announced yet but there's been hints of it here and there from the dudes at IO on the Hitman Forums website, and there's been whispers of something that'll be shown for E3 by Square Enix...whether or not it's a new Hitman game is the mystery |

06.04.15 | Just got the platinum for Bloodborne today. That's probably my favorite game on PS4 so far. Shadow of Mordor is a close second. |
jmnewcomer18
06.04.15 | Also MKX is fuckin awesome, despite the story feeling really out of place.
But yeah P.T is the most well executed and genuinely chilling horror game since Silent Hill 2 and that's no bullshit. |
GreyShadow
06.04.15 | i want to but don't want to play ff xiv at the same time. I don't think I feel like investing all my time into an mmo right now.
I've been highly addicted to Smash 4 and although last gen, I just finished Mass Effect 2 and loved it.
I own Monster Hunter 3 but haven't played much since my Wii stopped reading discs and I am unable to transfer it to my Wii U. I'll probably just restart and get to it soon. |
GreyShadow
06.04.15 | And I really wanna get back to playing Dark Souls but I'm so awful at it lol |

06.05.15 | idk saying there's only 4 good games in current gen it's either rly rly ignorant or you're super picky about what's good but it's def not the latter because one of those 4 games is evil within that's what's funny |

06.05.15 | mk8 and smash 4 are my favs so far |

06.05.15 | Alright, I'm going to do my best to make this question make sense.
Here we go.
I love, love, love Super Smash Bros. I've played all four games, and have played Melee and Wii U at a tournament level, and I play very well online and at local tournaments. I truly love the game. I understand it's not truly accepted as a "legit" fighting series, but that's not what this question is about.
I love Smash because it's about spacing, blocking, and creating your own combos based on spacing and dodging and all that kind of stuff, rather than "set combos" and it's really super accessible. It's a simple, simple game that can be mastered.
(note, I really don't understand the styles and differences between Tekken, SF, and MK, and that's partially what my question is about, so sorry if I sound ignorant, because frankly, I am)
I'm wondering what "traditional" fighting series is MOST like this.
I am currently playing Mortal Kombat X. I'm pretty lousy at it -- my record being 41-48.
I don't really enjoy how clunky the game is, and all I really do is play like I do in Smash. I jump and block a lot. And use Kung Lao's hat. I don't really combo at all, other than making my own (for example (jump down attack, which then launches them, followed by an uppercut)).
I also loved the Tekken franchise, 3 being my favourite fighting game ever outside of Smash, but not really playing since the last game on the 360. (Note: I really dislike Tag fighting games.)
Street Fighter I haven't played seriously since the Sega Genesis. That said, I love it's reputation, colour, personality, and hardcore community. I know it's far and away the hardest of the big three to jump into (the three I'm referring to being MK, SF, and Tekken), but I do wonder if due to it's speed, flow, and mechanics it would fit my style of play, being a pretty talented Smash player.
If this question is decipherable, please help me out. I know I'll have to put time into any fighting game, I just want to know which one would be most fitting for a serious Smash player.
Mortal Kombat X, Street Fighter 4 (once it's patched, and then eventually 5 in the Spring), or Tekken 7 once it drops in the Fall.
Thoughts? |

Oh wait, I forgot the MGS5 demo. And it probably is the latter. Don't go bad mouthing Evil Within, it was a good game. |
