Can Anyone Else Not Decide Their Major?

Right now, I attend a local community college and am so far enjoying it. In less than two years though I'll be transferring to a university (which I couldn't be happier about). However, one thing is bogging me down - ..I have no clue what to major in. Well actually, take that back. I've given serious thought about an English major, but according to people over the internet, an English major is pretty much worthless and won't get me anywhere in life unless I want to be a teacher (which I don't). I love writing, but I also want to make a decent living. I tried the Information Technology curriculum at my community college and I abhorred that to say the least; I tried this Software Design class and could never manage to code a simple program, even after six months of being in the class. I don't know what to do and it's honestly pretty pathetic. Every interest of mine (writing, music, game design), are pretty much all worthless and nonexistent in the job industry. Anyone else in the same position? Should I take yet another one of those useless "career evaluation" tests and see where I land? Because in less than two years I'm going to need a concrete answer on my major........that's also the reason why I'm just taking the basic courses here at my community college (General Studies or w/e). I really want to land a profitable job when I get out of college and not work at some dump. Will my career idea spark eventually? Or do I just have no interests?? Thanks
