CD Collection So Far
Vinyl>>>>>>>>>>>>>>But I occasionally snag a CD here and there. My CD collection however, is bigger than my record collection. But not by much. I'll be going by different phases in music I've had. |
1 | | Killswitch Engage Disarm the Descent
I own mostly metal CDs. I did have a "metal only m/" phase, but I still got some cool albums from that era of mine, and also some really bad albums too. This is a good one. |
2 | | Alice in Chains Dirt
Found digging through my dad's collection. Don't tell him I took it. |
3 | | Black Sabbath Paranoid
Found digging through my dad's collection. Don't tell him I took it. [2] |
4 | | Metallica Ride the Lightning
It was 5 bucks at walmart. It was pretty worth it. Not a big Metallica guy but this album is pretty solid. |
5 | | Anthrax Among the Living
It was 3 bucks on Amazon when I only had 4 bucks left in my account, random purchase. It's an alright album. |
6 | | A Day to Remember For Those Who Have Heart
During my metal phase, I had a big metalcore kick too. Why did I ever like this album? |
7 | | Bring Me the Horizon Sempiternal
Once again questioning my previous liking of this album. Spare a few decent songs, just overall bland. |
8 | | The Amity Affliction Let the Ocean Take Me
Still love this band and album. Sue me. |
9 | | The Amity Affliction Chasing Ghosts
Still love this band and album. Sue me. [2] |
10 | | Thy Art Is Murder Hate
After my big metalcore kick, I got into deathcore. This album right here is alright. Has some cool songs on it, but nothing too special. |
11 | | Chelsea Grin My Damnation
I still think this album is quite good actually. Very dark tones, and I like that with my metal albums. I believe deathcore is meant to be dark and eerie. This album pulls that off quite well. |
12 | | Suicide Silence The Cleansing
Oh please god no. This album is plain terrible. |
13 | | Carnifex Die Without Hope
Alongside My Damnation, I think this album is still really cool. |
14 | | Whitechapel Whitechapel
I don't have too much to say about this one, i just find it quite boring. |
15 | | Death Symbolic
One day on kik, my friend Aaron (PunchedPeach72), told me about Death. At first I hated these guys, just couldn't stand them. But then Aaron convinced me to listen to Symbolic, and soon after I feel in love with this band. And that started my death metal phase. |
16 | | Death Leprosy
My favorite Death album. It's heavy, it's fast, it's ruthless, and it's everything you could possibly want in a death metal album. |
17 | | Amon Amarth Twilight of the Thunder God
Well I didn't say all the Death Metal I listened to was good, right? Very bland melodeath. |
18 | | Dying Fetus Stop at Nothing
Very fun, jammable death metal. John's vocals are inhuman as always, the guitar tone is crushing, it's just a very fun listen. |
19 | | Cattle Decapitation Monolith of Inhumanity
Intense, gruesome sounding, death metal. With utterly heavy breakdowns, and drumming that will make you think that an octopus is behind the drum kit. Obviously not for everyone, but still a good listen. |
20 | | The Faceless Planetary Duality
Yes yes yes yes. All time favorite death metal album. Great use of technical instrumentals, along side a chilling vocal delivery. |
21 | | Ghostface Killah and BADBADNOTGOOD Sour Soul
After my year long "metal only" phase, I decided to explore some more genres myself. Hip hop being one of them. Great jazz rap album. Feels very smooth and it's just a really fun listen. You might see this album making it on my AOTY list later on this year. |
22 | | Code Orange I Am King
This new wave of hardcore is just amazing isn't it? All these bands experimenting with hardcore fusing it together with other genres, in this album's case, sludge metal. H*ck yeah! Crazy heavy breakdowns, angry vocal delivery, and just tough guy hardcore, downtuned and played slower. Nice nice. |
23 | | Black Sheep Wall I'm Going to Kill Myself
My favorite album of the year so far. So heavy and chilling, with well written lyrics, chilling, almost depressing vocal delivery, and just heavy, heavy riffs. |
24 | | Black Sheep Wall No Matter Where It Ends
More top tier sludge metal from these guys. This album is much heavier yes, but I don't feel like it's as good as I'm Going To Kill Myself. But this is still such and amazing album. |
25 | | The Fall of Troy Doppelganger
These next two are random grabs I got from the Equal Vision Records tent at Warped Tour. This is a really fun album, Thomas's guitar work is truly spectacular. One of my favorite post hardcore albums. |
26 | | I The Mighty Satori
Never heard of these guys, it was just a random grab. I do enjoy this album, it's quite fun. They are a run of the mill post hardcore band, but this album is still pretty enjoyable nonetheless. |
