Papa's Wifey's List of Favs

So SymbolicInTime made a list of his wife's favs, so I let my wife churn up something too. This is not ranked, but it is built by her directly, Papa had no input here.
1Emperor
Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk

Nightside Eclipse was the first, but this was the better, younger and wiser followup.
2Morbid Angel
Altars of Madness

Maybe the most important album in my life, because it opened me to the heavy world of heavy music.
3Death
Leprosy

If Morbid Angel was the opener, this is the one that solidified my love for metal music. I used to love to annoy my parents with this in my teens.
4Talking Heads
Remain in Light

Just a classic, you should all know it by now.
5Wire
154

The less admired of their three great first albums, but maybe deserving the most praise among them. This is where Wire finally found the sound uniquely theirs they should have pursued further, but alas.
6Paul Simon
The Paul Simon Songbook

Fuck Art Garfunkel.
7Warren Zevon
The Wind

His final and therefore most heartfelt, but still playing it with that easy breeze of pop he always did.
8The Saints
Eternally Yours

This one is probably Papa's favourite album, if I had to pick one, and looking at it through his lense, it did leave a mark on me more than it should have.
9John Coltrane
Giant Steps

The jazzman and his magnum opus that redefined the build of music forever.
10Tom Waits
Small Change

Nobody ever has had a career as flawless as Tom Waits and choosing just one album from his vast discography will take hours. This is a standin.
