I don't wanna turn 20

Fuck dude this is probably my weirdest bday yet. bye bye teenage years I guess...list is my 13-19 digs.
1Kid Cudi
Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager

13
The artist that got me into rap basically. Before this my music taste consisted of my dad's taste in music and Fall Out Boy so I guess this was a refreshing change. Still dig this album and MOTM1
2Radiohead
The Bends

14
ahh yes this was the year I considered Radiohead my favorite band of all time. I listened to these guys nonstop from 14-16. Very thankful for this band because they helped me get into a lot of the stuff I am into now.
3Patrick Watson
Close To Paradise

15
This is the year where I feel like my tatses really started to develop. Although Radiohead was still my all time favorite band, there were many other artists that came into my life and helped further shape my taste in music. Patrick Watson was definitely one of those artists and I found out about him through The Cinematic Orchestra's song 'To Build a Home' (which is a fucking gorgeous song if you haven't heard of it).
4Damien Rice
O

15 (Cont.)
Much like Patrick Watson's style, I started getting into the subtleties of music, preferring for once in my life the subdued, slower style. I wasn't even sad it was just my music tastes developing and it was really beautiful.
5Bright Eyes
Fevers & Mirrors

15 (Cont.)
Bright Eyes was the only band that rivaled Radiohead at this time in my life and what made them so special to me was Conor's ability to pour out emotion without completely showcasing that emotion in the instrumentals. I'm convinced that this is what got me into "emo" music but there was still some time before I started listening to bands like American Football...
6Silversun Pickups
Carnavas

16
This is the year Radiohead started fading away as my favorite band and SSPU was for some reason a band that I became obsessed with. Seeing them live on a cool summer evening in my hometown solidified my love for this band and to this day I get intense nostalgia and feels listening to certain songs. The warm, fuzzy sound these guys produce is perfection mixed in with Brian's pop sensibilities.
7Minus the Bear
Planet of Ice

16 (Cont.)
This is a band I discovered on a whim and without listening to too much of their stuff I decided to go to a concert with my dad to see them. This is the direct bridge into my love for emo music, due to the mathy guitars MtB pull off so well.
8American Football
American Football

17
Yeah the rest is history really. I kinda give up on descriptions for now but you get the point
9Texas Is the Reason
Do You Know Who You Are?

17
10Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

17
11Foxing
The Albatross

17
12Tigers Jaw
Tigers Jaw

17
13Marietta
Summer Death

18
14Snowing
Fuck Your Emotional Bullshit

18
15The Hotelier
Home, Like NoPlace Is There

18
16Jeff Rosenstock
Worry.

19
I feel like this is the only appropriate artist to list as I go into my 20s even though there are way too many artists I love as a 19 year old.
