So I'm finally at the milestone that indicates that I've spent far too long on this website but hey, better this than any mmo. I don't even have a good idea for this list as I've done the typical 10k list things already but my listening year has been a little slack due to academic commitments, so throw some recs my way to get me back into the rhythm of things. To Pimp a Butterfly
Everything has been said about this album already but wow, what a huge surprise it was. I didn't think he would have been able to top gkmc, let alone out do it completely and it was a pleasant surprise. I think I've annoyed a fair few friends by trying to convince them that this is as good as it is as well as listen to it but unfortunately, they're the type of people who will only listen to King Kunta as it's the single and not even pay attention to its message or any other song for that matter. Thought Raven was average but this was also a pleasant surprise. I don't know what it is but the really nostalgic atmosphere of the first half of the album is something really special and the end of Three years Older feels like you're watching a montage of life roll by. Really passed by a lot of people. Really gorgeous and relaxing album that I'm sure any classical fan would enjoy. Fave track: Verses | | 6 |  | Arca

I'll admit, I was a little disappointed in this upon first listen but wow, was it salvaged by the last 4 tracks. Aside from Make Money, each are stunningly beautiful in their own unique ways, especially Funny Games which is so unexpected and euphoric that it's difficult to put into words.
