07.16.22 | all slappers except maybe exmilitary
i know ppl are gonna disagree with me on that one but it really feels like they were still coming into their own on exmilitary. not as glitchy or chaotic or exciting as their best stuff imo. |
demigod!
07.16.22 | i would swap 7 and 8 but ya pretty much |

07.16.22 | Ex military is personally my #1 but I'm happy you liked NOTM so much. |

07.16.22 | 3 is their worst for me. Only the closer track is so good it keeps me from hating it as much as I actually do. 7 is my favorite, not because it got their best material but because its like... Their most essential release.
TMS is 2/3 classics 1/3 overrated boring tracks.
2 is probably their most interesting and timeless |
Ryus
07.16.22 | surprised that you consider 7 to be their most essential. feels kinda like a watered down version of their other stuff, still great though. and yeah 2 keeps on growing on me it might eventually be my fave. 3 is just fun as hell but i can see why people dont like it that much |

07.16.22 | It's like they just went into a retreat for 3 months, only some mic, basic samples and synth and just asked themselves "what is our sound, tho?" Crazy it's their 2nd album, they had such a strong vision so early on.
I dunno, I admire it more than I like it. Its a classic, tho that's for sure |

07.16.22 | 9,7,1,3,5,4
Need to check the others tbh. Not sure why I quit keeping up closely because those first 3 especially are some of my favorite albums of all time. Exmilitary and Mista Thug Isolation were practically the entire soundtrack to my senior year of high school. The nostalgia I have for Exmilitary is unreal although Money Store and No Love do come very close. All 3 of them dropped at pretty pivotal moments in my life and oddly really fit the tone of what I had going on at those times. Recall listening to No Love Deep Web for the first time whilst mowing a lawn trying to earn some money during a time when I was homeless and Come Up and Get Me suited my mood on a very high level lol |

07.16.22 | Top 3 are top 3, but I would swap 2 and 3. So, you got the important stuff where it needs to be. |

07.16.22 | It’s insane to me to think that it has now been 4 years since Year of the Snitch, but somehow, there were only 4 years in between The Money Store and Bottomless Pit. Someone has been fucking with the Death Grips timeline. |

07.16.22 | I tried getting into these guys a few times by checking The Money Store as it was the highest rated but it didn’t do anything for me - looks like it’s worth checking others given all the difference of opinion |

07.16.22 | I'd say try Exmilitary. Pretty different in tone compared to Money Store and it's awesome which helps |

01.18.23 | I really feel like 2 was their creative peak. It is a shame that they didn’t extend it into a full lp as I’m sure they had enough bjork samples to do so. To me it has their best opener and closer, as well as their most insane 4 track run from the opener to say hey kid. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy Jenny death, or the albums that came after, it just seemed like NOTM was the logical conclusion to death grips. Especially considering the lyrical subject matter and themes. It says and does so much in seemingly so little time. Truly a masterpiece imo and what death grips really built itself up to be. |

01.19.23 | these days im inclined to agree with you. probably my number 1 now |
