Flying Lotus Ranked

One of my favourite artists, producing some of the best beat, electronic and modern jazz music I have ever heard. Just wanted to put my opinion on his many great albums foreward.
1Flying Lotus
Cosmogramma

This album was Flying Lotus's first major experiment with incorporating a wide variety of influences and sounds, and it worked ridiculously well. Every track creates a cohesive atmosphere with each other, but has memorable sounds, beats and melodies which make them stand out. Even my least favourite track (Table Tennis) has a jaw dropping collection of sounds and a fantastic song structure.

You're Dead!

This may be a new album, but it has had such a large impact on me that I can't help smothering it with praise. The jazz side of this album is fantastic, sounding like a mix of Weather Report and Pharoah Sanders (or just Miles Davis's Bitch's Brew). The way the jazz elements interact with the electronic/hip hop elements keeps both sounds fresh and memorable, yet mesh together into one cohesive 30 minute piece. The songs on this album are easily amongst Flylo's best, Kendrick Lamar's feature in particular is fantastic. I can't wait to see what he does next.
3Flying Lotus
Los Angeles

The first album to show Ellison as a producer to watch, Los Angeles creates a dark brooding atmosphere through fantastic beats, diverse samples, and futuristic synths. It is easily one of the best straight up beat albums ever made, and Flying Lotus's most consistent album in terms of tone and style.
4Flying Lotus
Until the Quiet Comes

An album that is one of Ellison's weakest in comparison to the rest of his discography (in my opinion, I know this is preferred by a lot of people), however it still contains some of the best electronic jazz fusion pieces of his career (Tiny Tortures being one of his best crafted songs). The only downside is the lack of memorability in some areas, but that may be down to this being his most laid back release.
5Flying Lotus
1983

This album gave us a glimpse into what beat odysseys where to come, creating a more electronic eccentric atmosphere than the artist he took most influence from, J Dilla. At some points it sounds almost like game music, due to the psychedelic nature of the synths,
