Soundwave Timetable

The bands I will be seeing at Soundwave this year, kind of relieved the line-up isn't full of bands I "needed" to see this year as it has given me time to go check out things I am just generally interested in.
1Hacktivist

Expectations: Low
Seeing these guys just to pass the time and because their stage is the closest to
where I want to be next. I don't mind them and they seem like they'd have heaps
of energy to get me pumped for the day but I have my doubts as to how their rap-
infused "djent" sound will go over live.
2Mayday Parade
A Lesson In Romantics

Expectations: Medium
I don't see how these guys could be too bad for me as I know most of their songs
and I'd assume their set would be one big sing-along so I am pretty excited for
them.
3The Story So Far
Under Soil and Dirt

Expectations: Medium
Seen these guys before and they rocked, just hope the crowd isn't too irritating.
4The Defiled
Daggers

Expectations: Low
Seeing these dudes just to pass the time, don't mind some of their songs but I
have a big feeling they will be a bit of a bore.
5Upon a Burning Body
Red. White. Green.

Expectations: Low
These guys seem like they'd be a fairly mediocre live band, might be alright for
some cool breakdowns.

Never listened to these guys properly but I've heard good things about their live set
so I thought I'd check them out.

Scumdogs of the Universe

Expectations: High
Never listened to these guys either but something tells me knowing the songs isn't
really a prerequisite for having a good time in their set.
8Panic! At the Disco
Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!

Expectations: High
I've wanted to see these guys for years and Brendon Urie seems to really own the
stage well so I am pretty pumped.
9A Day To Remember

Expectations: Medium
Saw them last year and they were pretty good, exactly how I expected and I am
sure they will be pretty good if a little predictable this year as well.

Expectations: High
These guys would have to be damn terrible to not impress me.
11Korn
The Paradigm Shift

Expectations: Medium
Although I am not a big fan these days I used to love Korn so I am hoping their set
will be a big nostalgic bounce-fest for me.

From Mars To Sirius

Expectations: High
I have watched videos of these guys live before and they seem so tight.
13Glassjaw
Worship and Tribute

Expectations: Medium/High
I love Glassjaw, but for some reason I am doubting their live potential only slightly,
excited for them to prove me wrong however.
14The Dillinger Escape Plan
One of Us Is the Killer

Expectations: Colossal
I constantly hear them called the best live band in the world and I am quietly
confident they will live up to their name.
