Somewhat Underrated Albums

Albums that I think are underrated. Most are just albums that were looked own upon or forgotten compared to the bands other material. Some may have cult followings, but they never really went platinum/gold or broke into the mainstream.
1Blue Cheer
Vincebus Eruptum

One of the first heavy metal albums ever. Stoner rock and some noise rock are present as well. Almost everything stoner rock became, muddy production, strong bass playing, loud guitars, powerful drums, and loud vocals.
2Sir Lord Baltimore
Kingdom Come

Another one of the first stoner rock albums ever. Released in 1971 and amazing record full of psychedelic rock mixed with metal. It has a Kyuss/Soundgarden kind of sound.
3Big Black
Atomizer

One of the first great industrial/noise rock records. Creepy lyrics, clanky guitar sound, metallic bass, and weird drum machine rhythms. Amazing record, although it is out of print on cd and vinyl. Steve Albini (the main member of the band pretty much) isn't against "piracy" though. :)
4Screaming Trees
Sweet Oblivion

One of the greatest grunge albums ever. It is somewhat psychedelic with a grunge twist more so. Every member of the band is awesome at what they do as well.
5Red Hot Chili Peppers
One Hot Minute

I've never understood why so many people don't like this LP. It is much heavier and darker than BSSM, and it has some of their best songs. Warped is awesome and Coffee Shop is a great funk metal song. This album is also somewhat psychedelic. Less about jamming, more about songwriting here.
6The Rolling Stones
Their Satanic Majesties Request

Though often seen as The Stones pretentious attempt to outdo The Beatles Sgt. Pepper, this album has some great songs on it that could easily be the Stones best. 2000 Light Years From Home is awesome, She's A Rainbow is great, Citadel is great, and In Another Land is interesting. While obviously directly influenced by The Beatles, it is still a fun and interesting record.
7Led Zeppelin
Presence

Really overlooked. Achilles Last Stand is epic, Tea For One is also epic, and Royal Orleans is actually pretty good. No terrible songs on this LP, it is just a very straightforward album.
8The White Stripes
Get Behind Me Satan

Better than Elephant. This one is bluesier, rawer, harder, and more powerful.
9The Offspring
Ixnay on the Hombre

My favorite Offspring album. Never understood why it wasn't as popular as the rest of their discography. Less punk I guess, but more experimental and heavy.
10Nirvana
Bleach

Nirvana's debut. A breath of fresh air from what was popular at the time. The production isn't very good in my opinion, but it has some of their greatest material. Their cover of Love Buzz is my favorite though.
