Between The Buried And Me Ranked

Between The Buried And Me - The debut by Between The Buried And Me, that could be rrcohesive and falls flat in boredom but gets credit for having great songs such as Aspirrations. rThe Silent Circus - The album that had the potential to be Between The Buried And Me's rrstrongest release. Unfortunately, BTBAM rushed all their brilliant ideas and created an all-rrover-the-place album. Some ideas succeeded, others failed. Still a superb effort that could rbe rso much more.r Alaska - The first release with the current band line-up. An amazing ralbum with almost no rflaws. Sure, Croakies and Boatshoes wasn't all that great and Breathe rIn Breathe Out was rcompletely unecessary. But a spectacular effort for a first record with a rnew line-up.r Colors - Between The Buried And Me's magnum opus. A 1-hour long rsong that feels more like ran ultimate journey through genre blending and, simply put, music at rit's finest. It's one of the rbest bands of our generation experimenting new things, resulting in rone of the best things to rever grace music.r The Great Misdirect - In their 2009 effort rBetween The Buried And Me chose to experiment reven more with enigmatic atmosphere in rMirrors, dancable synth lines in the colossal rObfuscation, breathtaking acoustic passages in rDisease, Injury, Madness, spooky moments in rthe unique Fossil Genera, a duet between rTommy and Paul in a ballad, Desert Of Song, and a rsong showcasing everything in the rquintet's arsenal, including a jam moment, Swim To The rMoon. Amazing ideas? Of course. All rtogether as an album? A tad bit too long, thanks to the r18-minute mark of the epic Swim To rThe Moon. Could have been shortened though.r The Parallax II: Future Sequence - rThis record showcases EVERYTHING Between The Buried rAnd Me are all about. Positives and rnegatives. Pros and cons. Qualities and flaws. The rexperimental elements of the band's rarsenal, the emotion that made Colors so great, the rband's brilliant ideas, now appropriatedly rused, the inhuman musicianship of the band and the rband at it's full potential. But it also rshowcases the boredom an exaggeratedly long BTBAM rsong can give to the listener, the rcheesiness that made songs like Reaction and Shevanel Part r2 sound weird and the band's roverpretentiousness in making the best album of all time. The rParallax II is a sum-up of reverything Between The Buried And Me are: the good and the bad.
