05.28.13 | Lol I can see it being a boring list, since most of these populate other people's "best of lists" as well. Perhaps after some further listening it will become more interesting. ;P And Atari, it's because MBDTF and BoTW are both exceptional albums, plain and simple. |

05.28.13 | PunchforPunch, I have Songs in the Key of Life and have given it a couple of listens, but it's so huge and intimidating that I haven't quite gotten it all digested yet. Innervisions is lean, mean, and diverse. Perhaps one days Songs will surpass it though. |

05.28.13 | cool list and all, but Funeral > Suburbs |

05.28.13 | For only getting seriously into music in the last 2 years, you're on the right path young Padawan. Once you get into grind, your training will be complete. |

05.28.13 | I'm probably going to write a review over The Suburbs that in part explains why I think it is slightly superior to Funeral. Funeral is still one of my favorite albums and its one of those albums that actually got me into music in the first place, and I heard it long before I heard The Suburbs, (though that is in terms of months, rather than years like most people), so my favoritism of The Suburbs isn't from first-listening bias or anything of that sort. Basically it's for similar reasons that I prefer Kid A over OK Computer: Funeral is a better collection of individual songs, while The Suburbs is a better united statement in its construction. |

05.28.13 | is this ranked? o lol
Funeral > Suburbs [2]
wrong Bon Iver
needs In Rainbows and 7 > 4
but really great list anyway |

05.28.13 | Thanks Guano. :) My album collection is about 176 albums (almost all are from CDs) plus I listen to albums online.
And Artuma, both In Rainbows and For Emma Forever Ago almost made the list, but I felt like four Radiohead albums would be excessive in representation, and I just find the music of Bon Iver's self titled to be more original, diverse, and simply better song-for-song than that on For Emma. |

05.28.13 | Bon Iver's s/t definitely is more diverse but i find For Emma to be much more emotional, they are both great but for me For Emma is their masterpiece |
TheCollectiveFacade
05.28.13 | 17 lol srs |

05.28.13 | For Emma is more intimate, and generally I go for emotion over production (hence why I picked Either/Or over XO, even though XO is pretty phenomenal in its own right.) For Emma does a great job at showing the listener a vulnerable, heartbroken, contemplative soul, but his self titled makes me feel emotions that are more difficult to explain, and that I have yet to find anywhere else in music (Loveless and Laughing Stock pull a similar trick, but in much different shades.) Bon Iver, Bon Iver is like a cold winter in a wilderness cottage, where everything is misty from drunken surrealism. It's a lot of impressionism tinged with sadness, regret, resignation, etc; providing this rustic yet surreal atmosphere that For Emma never could. A really memorable musical moment was when I put this album on my stereo while I took a nap before I went in for a midnight stocking shift at my job, and the entire time I felt like I was both sleeping and listening to this album hazily, until I finally attained full clarity when "Beth/Rest" kicked in. And every second of that music just flowed inside of me in the dark, wave after wave. |

05.28.13 | There isn't anything wrong with any entry on this list, it's a pretty safe list. honestly I'm bored with 90% of it but I'm old and had a lot of time to become board with them so there's that. |
