unclereich 09.09.20	My uncle is in Salem and the pics he sent remind me so much of 2017 what a tragedy. The worst part is a lot of these fires are avoidable but due to strict preservation laws companies like pg&e cannot cut shrubbery or dead trees without going thru tons of hoops and ladders.

Yesterday it was still open and obv still is but it is now starting to look like each side is connecting. Have to keep my thumb and pointing finger taped together or it feels like it is ripping. Small to no pain tho. My lil brother evacuated Santa Cruz only to have to evacuate again where he was. He is allowed back to Santa Cruz but UC wants to break his lease for free because the dorms are turning into some kind of homeless shelter. He bought a plane ticket for the 23rd to come back home and move into my parents house.
