Its Been A Good Year...

For Albums MY TOP 15

I liked AWKIF, but only a little bit. Then this came out and it totally blew me away. This is just about the most perfect pop punk album ever.
2Dark Tranquillity

Though not their best, this could easily be a masterpiece for almost any other band.
3Dream Theater
Systematic Chaos

Ny favourite band and one of their best works to date. Only real letdown to be honest is In The Presence Of Enemies.
4Porcupine Tree
Fear Of A Blank Planet

Not long ago this would have been #1, but after endless hours of playing it grew a little old, still an outstanding album though.
5Biffy Clyro

Despite the fact that Kerrang want Biffy anal, I love this album. A lot.
Snakes & Arrows

Back to their roots. Amazing songs, amazing musicianship and amazing vocals (yeah, I did just say that). One of Rush's finest.
Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy World Tour

One of my favourite bands touring one of my favourite albums. They're even better live than on CD, which I find quite astonishing.
8Sonata Arctica

Funny Enough I wasn't expecting much of this. Boy was I wrong.
9Machine Head
The Blackening

Yep, the most over hyped album of the millenium. And admittedly this is an amazing album, so good that even Robb Flynn's voice couldn't spoil it.
10Nine Inch Nails
Year Zero

Reznor is God.
The Last Kind Words

Having never liked any of their previous work, and still not liking any of it, this album was quite a surprise to me.
12Within Temptation
The Heart Of Everything

After years of thinking these were a mediocre band, this album showed me that they are definitely not. Dark, heavy, melodic and catchy, a truly awesome album.
Life In Cartoon Motion

A really fun album. Great vocals, and some really surprising ballads too.
14Enter Shikari
Take To The Skies

Again, I overplayed it. Still, almost every song on here is fantastic, and eventually they will release an album where every song is as good and as energetic as 'Sorry Youre Not A Winner'
15Jeff Buckley
So Real: Songs From Jeff Buckley

One of the most gifted artists ever. I wouldn't normally use compilation albums on a list like this, but this album was too good for me not to.
