Off to see the movie right now anyway. Also, the ship was made of steel, not iron. The rivets were iron, but the plates were all steel.
SgtPepper 04.21.12	you might think this is a stupid comment but i'm going to say it anyway. Why didnt they take turns pushing each other on the floating door at the end? They both could have probably survived. I always thought it was very selfish of the female character to let the guy keep her a float in freezing water- that's fucked up. I get that it's a movie, and that without that scene the movie would not have been as emotionally moving, but its just something that bothered me about the movie.

Deviant. 04.22.12	I just think the movie would have been far more effective if he had just made the entire thing an ensemble piece with no real main characters and spent the entire time just going back and forth between them all, from their arrival on the ship, life on the ship especially between the alternating classes, and then as they all tried to survive after the crash/sinking. In a way Cameron kinda did that but I just don't think he should have revolved the plot around just two people, especially when one of them is engaged to someone else who then subsequently decides to chase after them on a SINKING SHIP shooting at them. If I wanted to watch Romeo & Juliet I would have just watched THAT movie
