Ludicrous Albums Of The Week Pt. 1
I'm bored and it's late, making a list. Albums is recent discoveries rand stuff I've been meaning rrto listen to for bloody ages. Recs rwelcome. |
1 | | Secede Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic
Only discovered this today and it's fucking glorious, the best discovery I've
made in weeks. Thanks to Strangerofsorts How to Ambient list. |
2 | | Taken By Trees East of Eden
This has been in the back of my head for months, finally got round to listen
to it, a pleasant and laid-back eastern influenced album. |
3 | | Ott Mir
I discovered this a few weeks back and can't get enough, One Day I Wish
To Have This Kind of Time is quickly becoming the song of my spring, it just
begs to be played on a glorious sunny day. |
4 | | Ulver Wars of The Roses
For a long time I've been completely unfamiliar with anything from this band
save their black metal era which I've always thoroughly enjoyed, though my
tastes have been changing drastically recently I thought I'd give this album
a shot, glad I did, a beautifully minimal yet bombastic album which begs
repeated listens. |
5 | | Kate Bush 50 Words for Snow
Again another artist who has always been in the back of my mind, so I
decided to start with her most recent effort, an impressive, piano-driven
albums with a collection of beautiful and emotional songs. I will be acquiring
more albums from her in the near future. |
6 | | Florence and the Machine Ceremonials
A friend of mine is rather a big fan of them, so I thought I'd check out what
all the fuss is about, an extremely impressive album. |
7 | | Desolate Celestial Light Beings
I've been on a massive ambient binge lately and this is just hitting the spot,
a continuely interesting album with slight dub influences. Strongly reminds
of Burial. |
8 | | Burial Untrue
Speaking of which, this album is slowly beginning to dawn on me, pure
brilliance. |
9 | | Talk Talk Laughing Stock
Another recent collection after reading all of the praise it has recieved and
although I can't really hear the post-rock atmosphere, it is nonetheless a
subtle but powerful album that is in need of many listens. |
10 | | Miles Davis Bitches Brew
An absolutely ludicrous album of epic proportions, it's influence on music
and jazz-fusion is undeniable. Although an extremely challenging and
complex album, the rewards gained from continual listens and patience is
almost unparelled, pure genius. |
