For instance, i wrote a review about a parkway drive album and gave it a 5. then this guy starts going on about "have you even heard of converge?" and on deathcore threads, i keep hearing "those are djenty riffs errr meshuggah ripp off". it happens too much. I like all types of music. in fact im not huge on deathcore or metalcore as a whole. i have my favourites but i hate a lot of it |

Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty damn good deathcore bands. I love Hester Prynne, Substructure, and a couple others I can't recall. There's just ten shitty ass bands for every good one. |

with blackwater park, i was told it was awesome progressive death metal. But there was just too much accoustic wanking and overall wanking. Not enough of actual songs. Just the guitarists jamming. Now their guitarists are obvioously talented and wrote nice stuff. But for so many of the songs there was just wank. And im not a "deathcore foo". i like heavy metal, thrash, death metal, hell even david bowie just as much. |
