SteelErectedb4you8er 03.24.12	We are doom metal band, with some death/sludgy parts, but it takes huge chunk of sabbath, electric wizard, and that kind of vibe.

SteelErectedb4you8er 03.24.12	That is just a demo version recorded at rehearsal. We will have a real studio version of it after next week. Thanks man, I appreciate it. This project means a lot to me right now, and we are having a ton of fun with it. I almost quit playing music for a while to focus on other things, but this came together so quickly that I decided to go for it again. Expensive habit, but worth it in the end.
greg84 03.24.12	Recording may be tiresome and expensive for sure. Do you have all the songs written by now? That almost always makes this process easier.
fr33convict 03.24.12	Unless you're a professional band who gets a month in studio the idea of not going in with everything fully written and rehearsed sounds like a terrible idea lol.
SteelErectedb4you8er 03.24.12	Oh yea, I(we) don't fuck around when it comes to going into the studio. We actually have 9 songs, but can only afford to do 3-4. However, we get together about twice a week every week and go through our songs. I think this will actually be a pleasant experience, the studio is supposedly badass, I am going to check it out on Monday. We have 2 full days to get everything done, and I am pretty sure we can accomplish this easily.
fr33convict 03.24.12	Yeah I'm sure with your guys type of music two days is plenty. I know with us our producer we're working with is like "WAIT GUYS I HAVE AN IDEA LET'S QUADTRACK" and it's gonna take us like ten eight hour days for our EP. :D

fr33convict 03.24.12	Mrum quadtracking would be the worst sounding thing ever and I'm pretty sure if you did that with a bass your speakers would implode lol. Mainly just guitars. We're probably going to just double the vocals since we have a lot of backup vocals.
fr33convict 03.24.12	We're a metal band called Golgatha. I mainly consider us just metal but we have decent amounts of progressive and melodic death metal influence. We used to be kind of metalcore meets thrash but we took a pretty big turn away from that this past year lol.

SteelErectedb4you8er 03.24.12	As long as the guy knows what he is talking about, incompetent engineers and producers is never good! Yeah, school can make it a longer process. We are all close to or in our thirties, we are getting up there, but we have a vision and we are going to try and make it work. Part time work and then part time band, more money lost than gained, but it is all about the experience and doing what you love to do.

SteelErectedb4you8er 03.24.12	R6R, just so you know that is a rehearsal demo. Set up mics in the room and jammed and then I overdubbed vocals later on. However, we wanted a song to get us shows and recognized to start. We are going to actually get a studio version of it next week.
