TheZehan: Slipknot First Two Albums Ranked

TheZehan 03.17.12	Yeah, It's obvious I like their rap metal songs more. I forgot to say I also don't have a few songs on Slipknot either (Eeyore and Get Up). Neither of these albums are fantastic in my view, but I just listened to them, so, felt like rating the songs. The really good ones end at 8. The ok ones go to 13 and the ones I can't stand are the last 2, specifically.

I said I only have parts of Iowa (mostly because I don't want "New Abortion", "The Heretic Anthem", and "Left Behind" for personal reason and meanings. You know what I mean by the titles/lyrics). And Disasterpiece is pretty effed up. Didn't the band get sued because someone murdered someone based on that song? (let alone the chorus is stupid and actually really annoying)

TheZehan 03.18.12	I just read it on Wikipedia (great source, I know). It seemed believable though. And two of those songs call out my religion, and the other my morals (so I din't want to listen to them). Actually, I listened to them, but didn't like any of them enough to change my mind. None would made 17 or higher.

TheZehan 03.18.12	No, they are negative to my personal religious/political views. For instance, I love Rise Against (very different politically, but I don't find them offensive). Those three songs, I would probably find offensive.
TheZehan 03.18.12	I can choose to listen to certain songs or not. They weren't fantastic songs anyway, so they weren't worth it.

TheZehan 03.18.12	It can. I have serious problems with people making obvious fun at it (like "Left Behind" for instance. The entire song jokes about us all being left behind and how he wants to fight my god, like in "The Heretic Anthem". Same principle).

Yazz_Flute 03.18.12	Subliminal Verses and All Hope is Gone are better than these albums. Eyeless is one of the better songs on their self-titled, though.

TheZehan 03.18.12	Long story short, I saw these guys were compared to Demon Hunter a lot (and I'm a huge DH fan). I had to look them up and see if I liked them. And I have morals set for myself. As far as music goes, the only thing I refuse to listen to is something that outright calls out Christianity. That's it. I don't care about language, politics, or anything else. Hope you understand.

TheZehan 03.18.12	Crack, there is a pretty big difference between Ascendacy and "The Heretic Anthem" where the chorus is "If your 555 then I'm 666". A really big difference, and I didn't know that either (probably didn't understand it in whatever song it's in). Kill, Isn't that off of FMKR? (haven't listened to it yet)
TheZehan 03.18.12	And the other thing. I did listen to them before I said I wasn't gonna listen to them and got rid of them. I didn't like them anyway, so there was no reason to keep something I DIDN'T LIKE that offends me.
