03.04.12 | Still tense. Can't wait to feel the relief in a day or two. Already have a new job #winning |
Funeralopolis
03.04.12 | I handed in a two weeks notice before I moved to go to school and then I left after two weeks and I said bye and everyone was sad to see me go.
true story. |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | I worked at JCPenney years ago and walked out one night. Left a long handwritten note on the Store Manager's desk literally telling him to fuck off and he has no idea how to ruin a legitimate, respectful operation, and that I wasn't coming back in the next morning. Goes without saying I never heard back from them. |
lucasjcockcroft
03.04.12 | i had a job, and never quit. true story. |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | i'm a bit disappointed that it ended the way it did, because publix is a great company to have as a reference. nooooooooooooooooooo chance of them giving me a good reference. |
Trebor.
03.04.12 | Who would shop at a store with a name very similar to pubic hair |
MaskAtTheMasquerade
03.04.12 | dude, thai place? |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | if you have a strong letters of recommendation and know how to interview well you won't have trouble getting another job regardless. I was making like $8.50 at JCP, and after I quit on horrible terms I got a new job that started at $15.75/hour and was hired on the spot. |
Funeralopolis
03.04.12 | that sounds pretty awesome. What is your secret? |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | i probably won't even list them as a former employer going forward. the job i'm about to start is at a thai restaurant so it's not exactly going to be a killer reference in the future, but the owners definitely love me. |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | "that sounds pretty awesome. What is your secret?"
if serious: having killer letters of rec from respected people.
if being gay: go die

acorn bro, i was looking at the Lightning's stat's page today, Stamkos has more goals than like any other 2 players on the team combined. Impressive yet sad for the team |
Funeralopolis
03.04.12 | I was kind of joking but at the same time hoping for a legitly awesome tip lol. |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | lol no doubt. Yeah, network and try to develop some relationships with legit people. Probably more important than work experience even, in my opinion. |

03.04.12 | MY BOSS JUST QUIT THE JOB SAID HE'S GOIN OUT TO FIND BLIND SPOTS AND HE'LL DO IT |

03.04.12 | not super badass or anything, but i quit my waiting job right as it was about to get super busy on st. patrick's day last year. they were already shorthanded lol.
no i have another waiting job. need to think of a better way to quit this one. |

03.04.12 | oh great tyler tyhe fag is here go fuck yourself |
Funeralopolis
03.04.12 | that wasn't very nice at all. |
Satellite
03.04.12 | i really hate the way the lightning use a 1-3-1 forecheck
they've got way to much offensive talent to play that conservatively
stevie y is definitely doing a great job as the gm, though |

Tyrannic
03.04.12 | i worked as a painter at this school downtown. on the day i got pissed enough to storm i:
1. lit a spliff
2. took everyone's paintbrush handles and put them in the paint (immature, but i was 16 sue me)
3. left a letter to the boss explaining why he was a sack of shit.
4. left a letter to my coworker explaining why he should have been aborted.
5. fucked my other (female) coworker
6. ate a pb&j
7. read a comic book
and finally
8. left a flaming bag of dogshit on my least favorite coworker's car.
beat that. |

03.04.12 | i worked at michaels for like a year and a half. got a better job. quit michaels. feels good man. |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | "i really hate the way the lightning use a 1-3-1 forecheck

They're homosexuals. And nah bro, they only have St. Louis to set up Stamkos, and Stamkos to score. Stamkos has like what, 47 now? Next most guy has like 10. |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | :(. not true. Marty has 22 I believe, and Lecavalier has 21, but has been out for a while with a broken hand. Purcell, Stamkos, St. Louis and Lecavalier are all offensive threats. I don't see any way you could draw a negative out of someone leading the league in scoring. He's their goal scorer. Plain and simple. All teams have them.
ARE YOU A CAPS FAN? |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | Purcell is also approaching or at 20 goals. Assuming he hit 20 tonight, I'd say having four 20+ goal scorers is pretty
good... |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | Nah man I'm a Jersey fan, not Caps. And I'm not bashing Stamkos, he's a badass and he's only 22 yet! Marty had a sick hat trick the other night against us too |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | Ironically if you guys did, you'd be the only team besides us that has 4 right now lol. |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | Purcell is at 19. One more goal and TBL has four 20+ goal scorers. The drop off after THAT is pretty bad, I'll give you that. Really hoping if the Bolts make the playoffs that they get the 8th seed and not the 3rd. I like our chances of beating NYR in a series much more than our chances of beating the Devils or Senators. |
Puzzles
03.04.12 | It goes without saying, Tyrannic has truly topped us all. |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | NYR isn't as good as their record shows from every Devs, Isles, and Sabres game I've watched up here in NY. I never would've guessed they'd be 10 pts ahead of 2nd in conference. It's all lundqvist man, if he even goes down to a .910-.920 they're not gonna be nearly as good. |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | yuuuuuuuuup. totally agree. i actually think the tbl not only could, but would beat nyr in the first round. either way, the
season series between them was great and always thrilling. i believe only one game was won in regulation in the season
split. |
Erratic
03.04.12 | I was going to laugh if this was Counterfeit's list. |
KjSwantko
03.04.12 | Yeah man I wouldn't mind seeing Tampa coming back and getting in. I like seeing Hockey in the non-traditional markets doing well. The main reason I like Nashville out West too. |
Recspecs
03.04.12 | I've never been laid off. |
VinVal
03.04.12 | Banged the bartender downstairs at my country club, came upstairs sweaty and beet red, quit the next day. Oh and it was new years of this year lol came upstairs when i was done at exactly 11:59 and HAPPY NEW YEARS! i couldnt have gone back after that |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | I actually love Nashville. Idk what it is abotu them. Love the way they play defense. Best defensemen tandem in the league and the best goalie in the league.
@vinval i wish i went out like that. all i did was get into a heated exchange with my manager. |
AfterTheBreakdown
03.04.12 | I still work at the first job I've ever had. almost 3 years now. |

03.04.12 | i put in my 2 weeks notice, took a call with a super easy problem, guy said he never had problems with comcast, so i told him to hold up, transferred him to comcast, ranted about how shitty att is and the fact that only retarded people sign up for it in my team chat, said fuck att and fuck 2 weeks notice, i quit, got 10 of my coworkers to all walk out at the same time including escalation desk employees. went to the parking lot and hot boxed my car with my ex-supervisor. was making 11 bucks an hour working at the worst place in the world, and got a job making 22 dollars an hour sitting around and chatting with ya'll on sputnik |
MoosechriS
03.04.12 | A friend of mine walked into a meeting room where his manager and various others where and produced a hand grenade (fake obviously) and said i'm sick of this place before rolling it accross the meeting rooms large table. Everyone hit the deck and one person pissed their pants in terror, obviously he got arrested for it but got away with having to pay a fine. He still says to this day, it was worth every penny hahahaha |
acorncheese
03.04.12 | lmaoooooooooooooooo wow. some of them probably still suffer mentally after that. |
MoosechriS
03.04.12 | yep but from what he told me about how they treated people at that place it was a matter of time before someone snapped by the sounds of it. That and he is a bit of a loose cannon himself haha |
