iswimfast 03.01.12	Yea, true story, if you have to wear a retainer at the end, wear it. Or they'll just shift back to where they were. It's not bad at first pain wise, just soreness from the extra weight. But when they tighten... oh when they tighten.

cvlts 03.01.12	i had braces for 6 years. yeah it sucked but now i have the straightest set of fucking teeth anyone has ever seen. totally worth it. if you're worried about id rejection i'd recommend having them put white/clear bands when you get them put in. doesn't conceal them perfectly but in a nighttime setting like club it'd be hard to notice at first glance.

tommygun 03.01.12	Had them for two years back in high school, sucked at the time but was totally worth it. Just don't forget the retainers once the braces come off. My brother didn't bother with his and his teeth shifted back a bit. I made sure to wear it every night for a year or two, I'm 23 now and my teeth are still perfect
silentstar 03.01.12	I actually got them last week; it doesn't hurt much as long as you take painkillers. BUT, don't expect to be eating solid food for a few days, your teeth will hurt when you try to chew. Apart from that, I think it's fine, even though I have expanders and all.

17WordHaiku 03.01.12	Braces suck hard, but they are worth it! My least favorite parts were getting the mold before and after. I just hate a bunch of clay in my mouth. Wearing the retainer wasn't so bad. I only had to wear it for 8 months and I never have since. My teeth are straight as can be!
tommygun 03.01.12	Yeah the first few days are pretty agonising and you can't chew, don't panic though it gets better! After that they only hurt when you get them tightened. Just remember to be careful with food like cut an apple into slices rather than just biting into it etc

I didn't chew gum or anything like that or get my braces stuck with another chick so I didn't have any major problems other than a bracket or two coming off from sports. Although I wore my retainer for ages and I lost it and then my teeth shifted again. Shit sucked, I really don't want them again. The only part that really sucked really bad for me was getting them off. Hurt like a motherfucker. Anywho, floss alot and get colorful bands lol.
