| Rec Me Some Post-hardcore/metalcore
This list might be scene as fuck and I'll probably get more hate than actual help, but I need more rbands to get into. Not in any exact order but I will admit to Pierce The Veil being on top. =) | 1 | | Pierce The Veil Selfish Machines
Love the sound of the guitars, love Vic's voice, love Mike's drumming,
Jaime's bass could be a bit better though. All the songs are different and
have their own feel to them. | 2 | | Of Mice & Men The Flood
Austin can scream and Shayley(hoping the best for him) can sing! The riffs
are pretty catchy on this album too. | 3 | | Dance Gavin Dance Dance Gavin Dance
My favorite DGD album. The songwriting is excellent, the guitars are crazy
and I always thought Kurt's vocals/lyrics had more meaning to them than
Jonny's anyway. | 4 | | Parkway Drive Horizons
I really enjoy their drummer and the grooves on a lot of these songs are
crazy. Especially Carrion. | 5 | | Motionless In White Creatures
Chris has a wider range than some of the other vocalists in this genre,
considering he has a solid mid/low, an even stronger high shriek, and he
does the cleans as well. I also enjoy the spooky keyboard effects. =) | 6 | | Alesana A Place Where The Sun Is Silent
Took me forever to get into this album, but once I did, I realized that I
enjoyed a lot of the riffs and song structures and their more "mainstream"
approach. Favorites on this one are: A Forbidden Dance, Beyond The
Sacred Glass, and The Temptress. | 7 | | The Color Morale My Devil In Your Eyes
I enjoy this band because they sound pretty different than others in the
genre. The guitar and vocal melodies really stand out and have a lot of soul
& atmosphere. | 8 | | Vanna Curses
My favorite Vanna album, wish this line-up was still together but life
happens. I really enjoyed Chris Preece's shrieking highs and Evan's cleans.
The guitars are pretty crazy and all over the place too. | 9 | | alexisonfire Watch Out!
Guitars are solid and I really dig Dallas's voice. George is pretty cool too. | 10 | | The Fall Of Troy Doppelganger
Wish these guys were still together, they were all excellent musicians. I
couldn't imagine trying to play one of their songs and sing it at the same
time. | |
