Post-whatever
A list of some of the best/my favourite post-metal albums, if you rthink I haven't heard something or would like it, rec it. |
1 | | Battle of Mice A Day of Nights
Julie Christmas's voice really makes this one kind of unique. |
2 | | Blindead Affliction XXIX II MCMXCVI
An all around awesome album, somewhat of a breath of fresh air for the
genre. |
3 | | Bossk .2
Was hard to decide between this and 1, went this one cause along with
the space it rocks pretty hard. |
4 | | Cult of Luna Somewhere Along The Highway
Went with this over Salvation just because I feel the emotion more on this
one |
5 | | Devil Sold His Soul A Fragile Hope
One of the first of the genre I heard, album kicks ass. Vocals at first are
kinda meh but after repeated listens the album kinda sticks. |
6 | | Irepress Sol Eye Sea I
Album really mixes it up with the genres sometimes getting kinda funky also
a lot heavier on the post rock side of things. |
7 | | Irreversible Light
Love the vibe on this album these guys kind of have an alternative rock feel
to them. |
8 | | ISIS Panopticon
Basically my favourite band ever (along with Rush), this album really hits me
emotionally and is a landmark in the genre. |
9 | | Jakob Cale:Drew
probably would be considered post-rock, but whatever this album is sweet
space out music. |
10 | | Khoma The Second Wave
A more melodic take on the genre with basically all clean vocals |
11 | | Latitudes Agonist
Instrumental post-metal, very neurosis but this album can be pretty
crushing at points. |
12 | | Mouth of the Architect Quietly
Love what these guys do one of the more listened on the list, "Hate and
Heartache" is enough to keep me coming back. |
13 | | Neurosis Times of Grace
Forefathers of the genre, probably gonna get some hate for not having
Through Silver... but this is probably my fave Neurosis album. |
14 | | Rosetta Wake/Lift
Couldn't decide between the last 3 albums which one I liked the most, so I
kinda just went with this one because I heard it first. Regardless, band is
legit. |
15 | | Trenches The Tide Will Swallow Us Whole
Love this album, Jimmy's vocals are just vicious and I know no matter when
it is I can always go back to this one and still like it. |
