auberginedreams 02.17.12	"They've stated they'll never play King Park" do you have a link to an interview or video or something where band said this? i heard some guy on last.fm say the same thing, but i've never actually heard or read anything where anyone in the band actually stated this. and i'm a massive la dispute fanboy so i'm pretty sure i've read most of the interviews with them lol.
auberginedreams 02.17.12	"Probably way too personal and/or dark" and this theory doesn't make sense since it's one of the few songs that ISN'T actually about a first-hand experience or about some personal emotional struggle. jordan said it was about something that happened around where he lived, but i don't think he actually knew the kid. plus, all of their songs are personal and dark, so if that were true then they'd never play anything live except that christmas ep.

It's an area that's been riddled with gang violence, which has been really sad to witness. It was the son of a lady I work with's best friend. He was shot accidentally in a drive-by shooting that was intended for the group of people he was getting off the bus with - friends from his school. There were a couple of days where everyone knew who had done it and who had been shot. There was this weird, eerie calm, and they found the guy in a hotel room on the other side of town. He locked himself in his room and shot himself. That line 'Do I still get to heaven if I kill myself?' is something he asked his uncle when talking about what to do."" i mean, "the son of a lady I work with's best friend" isn't such a huge relation that he'd be unable to sing about it without bursting into tears or something.
Captain North 02.17.12	Well I've heard second hand it's cos of the emotional thing, but the band directly said it just before the encore when the crowd chanted for it. Jordan turned around, gave a little laugh and went "guys, we are not gonna play that song"

Butkuiss 02.18.12	Ya, hilarious the amount of sad faces when Jordan said they weren't playing it. Only song I really felt was missing from the setlist was I See Everything. Could've easily replaced Why It Scares Me or even You and I in Unison if it really came down to it. Great to hear you're on the road to recovery North:) Good luck with your recovery and future surgery too. Can't begin to imagine how awesome it'll be to be able to walk again. And really?! Damn, I didn't notice Atavan! What a shame!

InFiction 02.18.12	Why It Scares Me should only be played with How I Feel. They played both of them together when I first saw them (Jan 2010) and it flowed so well.
