ManintheBox 02.16.12	I am a tad biased towards Death Metal though having listened to and explored it longer than Black Metal...Both do Impale Ardvark Babies though m/
ManintheBox 02.16.12	@eternium I guess so with bands like Agalloch and Wolves but I think Death Metal can be emotional too, take Deaths later stuff for example. It had beautiful accoustic guitar work inner mixed with the Death Metal. Also the bands that added Jazz fusion in the mix weren't just pissed off.
eternium 02.16.12	Yes but that's also a very small fraction of the genre. Death might be the deepest band in the genre as far as I know. For black metal there's everything from Burzum to ColdWorld to Fell Voices.

Turtlestlker 02.16.12	Raw and static are two different things, rec me something fairly accessible and I'll try it. So far only heard one song I've been able to get into that being Gorgoroth's A sign of an open Eye.
