I have short Asian legs, and the little bunching at the bottom has never bothered me anyway. But what makes you think leggings are cut differently? They're just as long - they just stick tighter, provide less definition/support, but are more comfortable than jeans.

It is essentially an argument against Rousseau's Emile and what it calls for in regards to the education of women, very intriguing stuff. You shouldn't consider it useless - it has some very applicable points, even today.

Crysis 02.14.12	Noted. It's a very difficult book to get through, though, and is extremely dense. It was hard for me to read more than 10 pages in a single sitting haha but if you are into feminism it is an absolutely essential piece.

Yes, you have to take a lot of it with a grain of salt but I think there is a lot to be taken out of it, since the theories it presents influenced others after her.

I have short Asian legs, and the little bunching at the bottom has never bothered me anyway. But what makes you think leggings are cut differently? They're just as long - they just stick tighter, provide less definition/support, but are more comfortable than jeans. But the thing with leggings is that they stretch not just horizontally, but vertically as well. It's not worth my time or money to hem all my jeans if leggings/jeggings fit just as well. I have short Asian legs too, but the bunching at my knees and ankles bothers the shit out of me because my calves are already short as it is; having them wrinkled half way up is even worse. Can't wear ankle anything.

From a brief Wikipedia scan, I already have several points of contention with Wollstonecraft's text, as it seems to have a number of heteronormative and classist stances, but I guess that's to be expected...
Crysis 02.14.12	It's like talking about Plato's work: a lot of it is based off belief in some sort of God or afterlife, and a lot of it can be very easily contested, but that doesn't stop it from being seminal in the development of western philosophy.
