I'd consider my taste in dm pretty entry-level and I want to work my way through the rateyourmusic charts for death metal and check out some of the most suggested stuff from Rasputin's famous list. The way I see it, I have the right tools to find a bunch of good dm, I just need to take the time to listen to it. That's what I have to say about dm |

Those aren't even bands I would think about when mentioning Finnish death metal, there is a plethora of lesser known groups who absolutely tear it up. If you're looking for a more recent band that kicks copious amounts of ass check out Desolate Shrine - Tenebrous Towers. The best FiDM album of last year and one of my favorite DM albums ever. |

02.08.12 | To tell you the truth not much of a fan of brutal DM, and i am focusing on Melodeath. To me Melodeath is the best dm you can find. That is why i say Cob, and Insomnium for Finland. I prefer melody and emotion over anything in mostly all genres. Just how i roll. |

Deicide - The Stench of Redemption
Grand Belial's Key - Judeobeast Assassination (this is actually blackened death metal but it is very melodic)
Ablaze My Sorrow - If Emotions Still Burn
Aguynguerran - Perverting the Nazarene Cult (another blackened death metal album but still very melodic)
Anagnorisis - Overton Trees (these guys are a like a heavier Opeth)
Azarath - Blasphemer's Malediction (a little heavier but I still think you could dig it)
Capharnaum - Reality Only Fantisized
