One of the few albums I might be willing to call perfect. TDAGARIM harmoniously
balances the softer sides of Deja and the rougher aspects of Brand New that
would come with Daisy in a way that is unstoppably powerful and emotional. |

What more can I say? One of Bob Dylan's best, and my personal favorite. |

Paul Baribeau
No artist has ever written with as much uninhibited honesty and passion as Paul
Baribeau does on his first release. His lyrics are so simple, and yet so incredibly
meaningful; it's a feat not many could pull off. |

In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
I know it's almost cliche to put this album on a top ten albums list, but fuck, it's
just so good. The melody when Jeff Mangum sings "We will take off our
clothes/And they'll be placing fingers through the notches in your spine" gets me
every single time. This is the most underrated overrated album of all time. |

Harvest
Neil Young was my first concert ever, when I was in the 3rd grade. It was more
my dad's doing than mine, but thank god he dragged me along. This album for
me encompasses everything that is great about Neil Young. An album that never
fails to make me smile. |

Closing Time
I'm planning on rating all my favorite Tom Waits later this week, so this is a bit of a teaser.
Not necessarily the best Tom Waits album, but Closing Time is the one I love the most,
mostly because it's just so different from anything else he ever did. And it's not
just the FACT that it's different, but that he is able to pull off something like this
so successfully that makes it appealing. It's a side of Tom that we never really see
again, but is every bit as intriguing as his other work. |

The Stone Roses
My favorite album to dance to. Such a fun record, and completely unique as well.
It's a shame the Stone Roses weren't ever able to fully replicate this greatness. |

By The Way
I grew up on the Chili Peppers, and this album in my mind will always be their
masterpiece (perhaps partially due to nostalgia). A record that reminds me of
childhood and old friends that I could sit and listen to forever. |

Wildlife
It took me a while to choose these last two records, mostly because there's so
much music that I love. But I think La Dispute's newest release is one of the
most incredibly passionate works of music I've ever heard. It's a record that is so
brutal, so deep, that I don't think I'll ever fully comprehend it in it's entirety. I'm
ready for the shit storm of people who don't agree, but for me this is an album I
see myself listening to and loving for the rest of my life. |

Blackened Sky
And finally... I debated a long time between Jimmy Eat World's Clarity and this
album, but I think ultimately this is the one I prefer. After I saw Biffy Clyro live, I
listened to this album non stop for at least two weeks. The emotions that it
evoked dug into me so deep that I didn't feel like I could listen to anything else. A
record I recommend to absolutely everyone. |
