DinoX 02.02.12	I agree that wage caps on the decadently wealthy would be a good alternative, however it is hard to implement since many of them own so much in terms of property, mortgage etc. you can't suddenly make a bunch of people have to sell their homes, so it is really tricky grounds. -Also there needs to be more regulation over US banks seeing as how they fucked up the world in the first place by lowering bank rates once the inflation settles or possibly closing off the financial intermediary market to newcomers.

To be brief though, deregulated financial institutions were providing loans to idiots who didn't have a chance in hell in paying them back. Had the government regulated these financial institutions, like they do so well in Canada, it wouldn't have happened.

We have a national debt of over $15 Trillion, increasing an average of $4 billion every day. Even if you taxed the rich 100% (Which would drive corporations out of the country) we still would have an enormous deficit. The government can't fix the problem. If the government cuts spending it can become smaller. If it becomes smaller, it will need less revenue to support it. Less revenue = lower taxes, and when businesses aren't paying as much taxes they can afford to hire new workers.

Britain's railroads are in very bad shape because the corporation running them refuses to replace them cause it'd be too expensive...
