02.01.12 | Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
soul of a woman was created below.
You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.
Gonna love you baby, here I come again.
Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away.
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,
Sweet little baby, I want you again.
Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.
Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill? |

02.01.12 | Thier first six albums are so hard to rank. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | 1-3 and then 4-6 are all equal to me and hard to rank in their separate groups. |
JamieTwort
02.01.12 | If I had to rank them it would be something like this.
5, 4, 1, 3, 2, 6, 8, 7. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Fuck I wish I could crank this right now! Whole lotta love SOOOOO BOSS. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | I can see that JT... those first six are all so good it's really about how I feel at the moment although Houses of the holy is almost always at 1 for me. It has ma favorite track so... |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | "We've done four already but now we're steady
and then they went: One, two, three, four"
Singing in the sunshine, laughing in the rain
Hitting on the moonshine, rocking in the grain
Got no time to pack my bags, my foots outside the door
Got a date, I can't be late, for the high hopes hailla ball.
Singing to an ocean, I can hear the ocean's roar
Play for free, play for me and play a whole lot more, more!
Singing about good things and the sun that lights the day
I used to sing on the mountains, has the ocean lost it's way.
Sitting round singing songs 'til the night turns into day
Used to sing on the mountains but the mountains washed away
Now I'm singing all my songs to the girl who won my heart
She is only three years old and it's a real fine way to start. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | "1, 4, rest"
Have you heard the rest? |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | 1 is 1. this is pretty much exactly how i would rank them |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Thanks Tritone how they hangin? |

02.01.12 | This is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to know
You are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before.
It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low.
It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom.
Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune.
Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from
time to time.
Talk Talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us...
But I know that I love you so
These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion - I see the torch we all must hold.
This is the mystery of the quotient - Upon us all a little rain must fall. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Yah I'm kind of boggled by the 3.3 tbh Jethro. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | Funny, I mostly listened to Zep yesterday. |

02.01.12 | Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I've got one thing I got to do...
Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Got no time to for spreadin' roots, The time has come to be gone.
And to' our health we drank a thousand times, it's time to Ramble On.
Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.
Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Gonna ramble on, sing my song. Gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world. I can't stop this feelin' in my heart
Gotta keep searchin' for my baby. I can't find my bluebird! |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Yah, admittedly it's been a little too long since my last listen to them AoD. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | Yeah, same. It reminded me that Page is a better blues guitarist than pretty much every famous blues guitarist. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Yah he's amazing but I never doubted that he was revered for a reason. ;^) |
Zorak
02.01.12 | Dazed and Confused is my favorite Zep song! |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Awesome guitar part. |
JamieTwort
02.01.12 | I really don't know what my favourite Zeppelin song is, there's so many classics to choose from. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | I don't think i could pick one either tbh. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Also, LZ1, 2, and 4 are better than LZ3 and HotH. |
johnnyblaze
02.01.12 | Agree with 1. Zep rules. |
DominionMM1
02.01.12 | "probably never need to hear this album again no matter how great it is."
dude |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | I'm listening to it today haha. |
Maniac!
02.01.12 | 5 is 1 |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | Nah, 5 rules, but LZ2 and 4 blow it out of the water. |
NeutralThunder12
02.01.12 | you have the worst opinions |
DominionMM1
02.01.12 | good man, omni. it's still probably my favorite record ever. |
NeutralThunder12
02.01.12 | @maniac |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | It is arguably THE 70's album. ;^) |
NeutralThunder12
02.01.12 | houses of the holy is really overrated imo |
DominionMM1
02.01.12 | @omni- for good reason m/ |
BigHans
02.01.12 | Dazed and Confused is my favorite Zep song!
^ You mean its your favorite Jake Holmes song |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | "houses of the holy is really overrated imo"
Funny, I think it's underrated like a motherfucker. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | Has too much filler. No Quarter and Rain Song are like way better than anything else on the album. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | Same with Led Zeppelin III, actually. Friends and Since I've Been Loving You pretty much destroy the rest of the album. |
JamieTwort
02.01.12 | The Rain Song and No Quater are like the best songs ever. |
Jethro42
02.01.12 | No Quarter on The Song Remains the Same is the very best version. |
MO
02.01.12 | schmeplin rules |
clercqie
02.01.12 | Always liked the first one the best, even though they stole about half of the songs on it from other artists. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Can't agree with you on either AoD.
How are Celebration Day, Gallows Pole, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, D'yer Mak'er, No Quarter or The Ocean filler? |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | "Always liked the first one the best, even though they stole about half of the songs on it from other artists."
That argument has been made for pretty much all of their first four albums. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | The Ocean makes a good run at favorite song if I had to choose. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | I didn't say No Quarter. And Celebration Day rules, but I've never really liked The Ocean or D'yer Mak'er. Gallows Pole and Bron-Y-Aur Stomp are good but not amazing. |
JamieTwort
02.01.12 | IMO the only song on HotH that can be considerred filler is The Crunge and even that's grown on me over time. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | I have no problem with them not being your favorites but to refer to them as filler I simply can't agree with bro. |
KILL
02.01.12 | the ocean kicks ass bro |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Haha, I love The Crunge but I get people not liking it. |
AngelofDeath
02.01.12 | They just kind of are compared to II and IV where pretty much every song is fucking awesome. |
clercqie
02.01.12 | "That argument has been made for pretty much all of their first four albums."
Well yeah, that's what I'm saying: I don't care as long as it sounds so kick-ass ;) |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Right for you but I don't think they are filler. I think all of the first six albums are filler free... for me. |
Zorak
02.01.12 | Wait.. Maybe the Ocean is my favorite, I CAN'T DECIDE! |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | @clercqie, I've actually heard the main guy making the complaints play the clips side by side and I
totally agree with him. I can also agree with Zeppelin's arguments that it was/is not the least bit
unusual for blues players "borrow" from each other. Where they fucked up is that they gave no credit
even after being called on their mistake. Look at Clapton, half the songs he's famous for in his solo
career are old blues songs writen by others but he never claimed they were his. The Crossroads are a
Clapton staple but that shit aint his. ;^) |
clercqie
02.01.12 | Robert Johnson ftw indeed!
Yeah, the credit thing kinda made them a bunch of assholes. |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Exactly. |
DominionMM1
02.01.12 | "Always liked the first one the best, even though they stole about half of the songs on it from other artists."
Lots of bands from that era borrowed liberally from early american blues. Zeppelin just suffered the brunt of the criticism from people in the press who thought that music began and ended with the Beatles, Stones, and Dylan. |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | Thanks Tritone how they hangin?
hanging like m/. so some i started talking about zep to some kids at my school and one of them goes "oh yea, you know the immigration song" omfg |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | When I was in school that would be OMFG but I can see it maybe being less well known to kids now.
"Lots of bands from that era borrowed liberally from early american blues. "
I completely agree with you Dominion but the clips I heard were pretty blatant right down to note for note guitar riffs but this is nothing new. |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | yea true, but still it's zep!
gotta love plant's lotr/hobbit references |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
'Twas in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her. |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | same lyric that i was thinking.
also rereading the hobbit right now. there's a misty mountain in there. sounds familiar |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | Fist time I heard of Mordor in reference to LotR I said "Like in Zeppelin" I'm sure. |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | the hobbit movie should own, pretty amped. martin freeman as bilbo is ace |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | the hype has been pumping out of that camp for so long I stopped paying attention a year ago tbh. |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | yea but that trailer just came out. honestly way way way more excited for the new got season anyways |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | I need to see the trailer.
I just finished the fourth book.
They really are very good. |
fsharptrit0ne
02.01.12 | the first three, especially storm of swords, are incredible. if they do season three right, it could be one of the best seasons in tv history. |
Days of Future Passed
02.01.12 | fav song? When the Levee Breaks |
omnipanzer
02.01.12 | ^ great choice.
"the first three, especially storm of swords, are incredible. if they do season three right, it could be one of the best seasons in tv history."
