Eclecticist 01.19.12	I take "intensive" classes. My system is this. In Canada you need 20 credits for an Honours degree so I work full-time and take 3 courses during the regular school year and 2 courses in the summer (5 credits x 4 years = 20). I only take language courses during the summer because it is easier for me to focus on them then. If I wasn't a law major I would study abroad for a year every now and then and learn a language every other year in another country. However, intensive courses are the next best thing than actually going and learning a language in its native country.

Jruined 01.19.12	I spend my days working with my hands and mind without a degree and yeah I can say I'm pretty satisfied with life. Everything you need to know you can find at your library or on the net (as long as you use common sense). Not to say that I want a doctor working on me that didn't go through rigorous training, but hell even architecture is a useless degree that you can learn on your own. Especially if you have construction experience, an understanding of basic politics, and a good eye for aesthetics (although this doesn't seem to be necessary. Good for you. Just make sure when the opportunity arises for you to find a career that you do enjoy, you jump in feet first.

Jruined 01.20.12	It took me until I was 32/33 before I was clear minded and positive. That's great that you are in that space at 23. I spent too much time on boozing, bar fights, and women with everything that goes a long with those (divorces, child custody, dealing with the police, causing unnecessary harm to myself and others). It's a good feeling to get yourself centered and moving in a positive direction. And if people don't like the direction you are going in... Fuck em'.

Im content with small gatherings, the occasional concert and more than anything else recreational sports which ive been able to do in my old town these past two days. I fucking love being slow paced.
